I was going through the list the other dayand i got pretty similar to piney. The hardest to pick was where to put our first win and first home win. I couldnt separate the two

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Dan Richardson's is the top 5 "moments", not games. Which is why the 1-0 over Newcastle is in there, because Manny's goal was pretty fudgeing epic.

It wasn't flashy and it wasn't against a glamour club but one of my favourite Nix wins was a different 1-0 win over the Jets at Hunter. Actually it was a pretty horrible game but for me it was one of our most gutsy wins ever, especially considering the temperature was 40 degrees. Ifill got an early goal and we hung on. I remember some Italian import for the Jets missed an absolute sitter in the 94th minute. Also memorable for the only decent game Diego Walsh had in a stripey.

Agree with Pineys by an large. But still have to put the inaugural 2-2 v Melbourne, slightly ahead of the Semi Final.

All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

I would have had the 4-1 win over Perth in S1. Not sure if it was our first home win but definitely the first time we took someone apart.

Most epic place I've watched a NZ club side on TV  - next door to the Taj Mahal in Agra, India

Not the Nix but Auckland City in the FIFA Club World Cup December 2011

On the tele at my backpackers with about 50 Poms, Aussies, Scandinavians, Indians rooting for Auckland City one evening.

And they all learned the history of the All Whites, the Phoenix, Wynton Rufer, Ryan Nelsen etc. from me during the game

Most emotional and unusual circumstances to watch the Phoenix on TV - during the Christchurch earthquakes in the days and weeks after the September 2010 and the February 2011 quakes with massive aftershocks (holding on to the TV so it wouldn't fall off the base, intermittent power failures, buildings collapsing around me on the edge of the central city).

There was a Nix game the day after the September 4 2010 quake I watched out of town in Rangiora due to having to leave because of an unstable building next to mine in the city and general mayhem plus wanting to be with family and check on them.

5 December 2010 vs. Adelaide, AMI Stadium Christchurch - a game noted above as one of the best for Ben Sigmund's injury time hometown winner - but also occurred amongst continuing aftershocks and turned out to be one of the last sports events played at the stadium before it was destroyed in the February 2011 earthquake.

I'd returned from a holiday two days before the February 2011 quake and so was catching up on recorded Phoenix games at the time the quake hit...

It was poignant last year discovering some A-League Finals games involving Australian sides (the Nix were knocked out the weekend before the earthquake) from around the time of the February 2011 quake I'd recorded on my DVD recorder and not watched until last year  -  the minute's silence etc. before games.

Daniel Richardson's choices may have been different if he had gotten his facts straight. Muscat actually scored a very similar goal in the same season against Perth in the finals series where we lost 3-2 in extra time. It was the goal that put us up to 2-1 after being 1-0 down.

Definitely the playoff win against the Jets. The atmosphere that day was unreal.

Three for me, and two for them.

Apart from the obvious ones, one that stood out for me wasnt even an A league game but our first ever game at the stadium.A pre season cup game against Sydney there wasnt any gear available so it was decided people had to wear either black or yellow. The assortment of tops would have had some people today drop dead. The BB before hand was great as people introduced themselves for the first time as war stories and bullshark was bandied about.Afterwards was unreal as people decided this A league stuff was going to be a doddle. Not

Also the BB after that first A league game against Victory was something i will never forget.

Just for the nuts factor. Goal two, game 1. As a specific moment has to be one of the best. Best game was the Necastle game where we one 3-1. Best away game the Wanderers game.

Another epic moment would be Danny Vukovic's penalty vs The Furries.

So this!

I have the ticket from this game still. It says Basin Reserve on it, but they changed it to the stadium at late notice due to ticket sales.

I'm being overly emotional but I would put this seasons 3-2 win away at Tardistan in the top 5.

Such a range of emotions.

I too have kept the ticket from that game.  Such a good feeling.  We knew then that we were onto something special.

This season has been so amazing. The pool room is getting rather chocker.

Here's my ranking on pool room possibilities just from this season!

6. Sydney FC 0 v Wellington Phoenix 2
21 December 2014, Sydney
Let's face it, we weren't at the races for the first 60 mintues but then a Burns double which sees him race to 10 goals for the season. Good goals by Burnsy.

http://vod.ffa.aka.oss1.performgroup.com/football_...

5. Wellington Phoenix 3 v Brisbane Roar 0
4 January 2015, Westpac Stadium
200th game for the Nix, Manny getting a goal up the left flank, Brocks signs off in emphatic style. Bliss.
http://vod.ffa.aka.oss1.performgroup.com/football_...

4. Perth Glory 1 v Wellington Phoenix 2
Saturday 14 March 2015, nib Stadium
Decimated squad. Playing at 2.00am Wellington time. Ridiculous stuff. Gutsy team performance but we just looked superior in all facets.
http://vod.ffa.aka.oss1.performgroup.com/football_...

3. Wellington Phoenix 5 v Melbourne City 1
Sunday 30 November 2014, Westpac Stadium
That boy Burns was on fire - first hatty for the club.
http://vod.ffa.aka.oss1.performgroup.com/football_...

2. Adelaide United 1 v Wellington Phoenix 3
Wednesday 31 December 2014, Coopers Stadium
Tyler's last gasp brace was special. I got so excited I needed to use my safe word.
http://vod.ffa.aka.oss1.performgroup.com/football_...

1. Melbourne Victory 2 v Wellington Phoenix 3
Sunday 1 March 2015, Melbourne
Roly! First beating Coe with an amazing free kick. Then a free kick delivered to Boxall measting the ball in at the far post. Boxall with the break away to set up Burnsy for the winner. The brilliant, brilliant battle of Tardistan.
