D mC has been decent.

Just noticed deigo came on for him at break.

Ifill just embarked on a bobsled. I'll let you know when he stops sliding.

More nix subs now.

Dan Obrian for Daniel. Not sure who has
come on at left back. McKain off. Musa to centre back. Ryan Cain on for Ifill.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Has Ryan Cain got his hair lopped off Smithy ?

I thought it was him last week but the haircut seemed too short.

You can only play what they put in front of you.

He wouldn't have burnt for long, there's not much fat on him.

Three for me, and two for them.

Miserable conditions, really appreciative of the grandstand roof today with intermittent hail throughout the games. Even more appreciative of 2ndBest's car heater on the way back into Wellington, cold enough to make me remember Invercargill winter fondly. Ref ended up calling it after the 6th goal with about fifteen to go. LHC weren't particularly involved (fair enough though), but their keeper did rather well in the second.

No Oskas were harmed in the making of this football match.

Greenacre nearly nabbed a stunning bikey in the opening 10, cross whipped in from Lia and Greenie he got great air, just missed the ball.

Troy started at RB, and Ifill was playing up front with Macallister and Greenacre. Lower Hutt didn't exactly have much to suggest they needed to plug any gaps in midfield.

Ifill's opener was an absolute stunner, Greenie looked class and played the whole match, got a couple. Useful opening 45 minutes to Dylan's Phoenix career. Very impressed with Musa, looked very composed and had plenty of time on the ball.

It was rather cold though.

It wasn't Fulcher either.

It was some character from Queenstown.  Apparently a former Brazillian pro keeper.  Nobody knew his name including Gouldy.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

More like:

                    Brazillian Midget

Troy         McKain             Dura            Moooosa

             Vinnie                     Moooooscat

                              Ifill

Greenie                D Mac                     Daniel

Subs were (from memory):

Finlay Milne for Troy
Dan O'Brian for Vinnie or Manny I can't remember
Fergus Neill for McKain (Musa to CB, Fergus on at LB)
Diego for Daniel
Ryan Cain for D Mac
Corey Chettleburgh for Ifill

They ended up 4-4-2 after the subs, not sure if that was on purpose or not.

Game called off after about 70 minutes IIRC.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I was very impressed by the blonde guy who came on and seemed to play CM in the second half, scored the 5th goal?

Was very very unpleasant out there, not helped by the Hot Chocolates that were purchased to help with warmth being not that hot. Also the collective stabs to my heart as I watched the ground that I need to play 3-games on this weekend being progressively cut up more and more.

Pfft, like your game requires a good surface.  Arf.

Blonde midfielder was Dan O'Brian.  Nice guy.  Yank.  Plays for Wests.  Had a short stint with the Minessota Thunder in the US I believe, but not certain about that.

I think this is Daniel you guys are talking about. Queenstown Rovers keeper and played University Football or semi-pro Football(not sure which one) in Vrazil. He wasnt playing for the Rovers on saturday so he couldve been up in Wellington. He was gonna get a trial last year I believe but as he was about to board his flight Reece Crowther was sighned. Anyway hes a great keeper and constintly keeps Queenstown in games by saving one on ones and so on.

LOL, two Brazillian Daniels in the team? This is where using surnames would come in handy.

Spent most of the time freezing his nads off while the game was played up the other end of the park, not tested at all.
