Nix vs Adelaide

Just turned on CCM versus Roar and for a brief second thought it was Nix Adelaide again...look similar.

Disappointing game yday again..our lack of strike power has really  haunted us this season.  Not correcting it earlier was a shame but I guess there are valid reasosn why we didnt.

One good thing is that by denying other teams 20 points we have made the league tighter this year!..and kept ourselves sort of in the hunt.

Looking at the replay of the Caceras "goal" he almost knocked it over the deadball line by changing dribbling feet for some reason..but then he gathered it back.

why don't we give ferrante another shot, sure he has played pretty rubbish this season, but he seems like the sort of player that will relish the opportunity and give himself to the cause.

He's had some bad games but he's had good ones as well so I'm not opposed to giving him a shot.  Not against CCM on the 31st though.

Why don't we bring back George while we're at it?

No he hasn't. He has been constantly sh*t and if he plays we are really scrapping the barrel.

It might help the Wellington Phoenix, if Rickey Herbert could 'tap' available talent from Goa in
India, a former Portuguese colony. If FC Porto, a UEFA Champion's league club in Europe, finds it ok to take Goan players to their academy in Portugal, it should be good enough for the W Phoenix. All Goans speak fluent 'english'.  Ed

Absolute rubbish.  And to the chap showing those shots on goal stats I'd like to point out that he is not a striker so those stats are irrelevant.  Yeah, his shooting is woeful but that's not what he's paid to do.  Any goals are just a bonus.

Certainly not a starting player, but on the bench wouldn't be scraping the bottom of the barrel.  When Lia is suspended I expect to see Ferrante in the team as Daniel/Bertos have proved in recent weeks they aren't nearly good enough for their own positions let alone partnering Brown, and Diego is very much off and on.

And I know nothing about Goa, but could be worth a look at least.

Goa is just a 40 minute flight from Bombay on India's West Coast. Bombay is regularly serviced by Qantas. Football is very popular, and you do get  players who specialise in "set pieces" similar to the
excellent football of English premier league club
Arsenal of London. The GFA (Goan Football Association) could supply more info or email me at

yeah another midfielder that cant shoot to save himself , thats the answer to our problems
Guess you dont want assists from a CM either?
If u think daniel and bertos arent good enough and diegos hot and cold, your in for a treat with ferrante. pants 24/07. Has played over 30 games and hasnt displayted basic skills like the ability to pass the ball. Yet people say mulligans bad

Nice offer from Goa, but why don't we look closer to home. They may not be titans, but teams in our NZFC have shown some good form lately i think. Why aren't we strengthing our defence with players like Vicelich for example. He's not unaccustomed to playing with the team (most are all whites anyway) and i'm sure there's talent there somewhere

Pretty sure when Vicelich came home he pretty much stated he didn't want to be based in Wellington.  I may be wrong here though, sure someone can remember more.

He cuts the grass and marks the lines on the pitch during the week!

why do we need to strengthen our defense? the last 3 games we have conceded 1 goal in each. The problem still lies at the other end of the pitch.
