Anyone else think Moss/Manny could've done better on both Cassio's goals?

I don't think Moss exactly sparkled in this one - but hard to tell when you're being overun

Yeah, I don't know, really. At least we showed something after half time. It killed us when they scored after we did, though.

Last game Adelaide didn't even play well and they beat us comfortably. This time they played very, very well.

We let them play well that was the problem

Adelaide took their chances well.

I reckon that having played so many games at a high standard in the champions league,  that as soon as they got half chances and looser defensive marking, they were sharp enough to make the most of it.

I've already made a relaxation tape with "We got a goal" whispered over waves softly lapping the shore.

i guess when you look at it we get about the same coverage as the breakers. (admittly i'm not in NZ now, so this may be different on TV).  Rugby + League always get the coverage.

I think its going to be a 1-0 win to the Phoenix..  Fred to score..

At least you got the Fred to score part right...

I'm pretty sure I saw O'Dor and Old out there. Possibly a Cleberson sighting too.

I'm with you Valeo. I think we were pedestrian and flat in the first half, we showed some fight in the second half, but came up against an Adelaide team who showed why they made the Champions' League final. Their passing, movement, commitment and general football sense was a class or two above us tonight, and they made us pay.

Also agreed. However, we weren't quick enough to adjust our tactics to cope with them. Cassio's two goals and the one he set up for Cristiano all exposed a huge hole on the right. The players, especially defence should have been changing and adapting to cope with this.

The 2nd goal for Cassio was unforgivable. Muscat got beat for his first and saw him score in exactly the same place. He didn't realise that he was going to do the same thing so he stood off him?? Idiotic defending.

Felt sorry for Sigmund with that f**k up at the end. Not our worst player tonight by any means, but he'll be kicking himself over that one.

It was a class goal, valeo. I can't blame Muscat too much for it because, although he was a little slow to get across, he had to hold off just fractionally in case Cassio turned inside him. Either way it would've been just as humiliating.

The real problem was that Ricki had already taken Lochhead off, something that has me stumped.
