Cool idea. On top of everything else why don't we actually just kill the club off?

Since we're averaging less than 1 point per game, I think I'll stop believing.

Lack of accountability is killing off the club, not fans who are tired of spunking money up the wall watching dull shite week after week.

If all of us don't buy a season pass for next season, the club will die.

poor defence cost us this game, two really sloppy pieces of play in our own have and we conceedeed on both

2-ZERO

5-ZERO

ZERO-2
2-ZERO
22 goals in 21 games and frequently looking clueless in front of goal

nice guy greenacre, but I have not seen any organisation or development in our attacking play

My point is that if we get a new coach in I, for one, am much more likely to renew my season ticket.

But you've always been a bit iffy for buying season passes anyway Steve-O.

In this country we just can't afford to just give up on our only professional football team.It just isn't an option.

We have to stick with it.

Yeah sure, 2 defensive errors but also we didn't score and had opportunities, so not good enough at either end (and probably more so in the middle).

This season was my first, however I had gone to every game I could in the 3 previous seasons, which was the vast majority of games. Anyway, I am not the only one saying this, and what are the chances of attracting NEW members after this season if there is no sign that anything is changing?

So we're not good enough in defence, midfield, or upfront? :-)

Some think we're 80% a fantastic team too!

That's actually incorrect. Lack of accountability is not killing the club. It's just causing some terrible football to be played. And yes, something should be done about that.

But people not buying season tickets as some form of protest will kill the club.

Voice your discontent inside the ground where you can be heard, not from in front of the telly where only your cat gives a shit.

A couple of seasons pain watching shit football doesn't even compare for me to the pain of losing the club altogether. Because if the financial situation of the club gets any worse, we're done. That'll be it for good.

I'll put up with anything as long as it means we're still around in 5 or 10 years.

I just don't trust Ricki to be the one doing the changing when it is he who has assembled this current bunch.

Well fuck it , this season has well and truely sucked the big one and tonight was no exception. Did think Corey is worth another look at , though.

Jr and I have only missed one home game in the history of the Phoenix . We have had season tickets since day 1. We will be getting season tickets again next year. Does that mean we're happy with this season ?- no , because we're both pathetic and unsophisticated. But without people like Jr and me , who in the grand scale of things Phoenix are nothings , there will be no Phoenix. So we'll be there again next season and the season after that and...

I'm not sure I totally agree with you term x. You'd hope that the owners would appoint a new coach in reaction to several 100 people saying they aren't buying season tickets and going any more rather than try and hang on and eventually ditch the club altogether. We keep banging on about what astute businessmen they are but if they are they will sack Ricki rather than suffer significant losses if it is recognised he is the reason for losing that money.

The angst on here seems pretty disproportionate  to the performance.  We looked much better today. Looked to maintain possession and knock it around more. Couple of sloppy mistakes and poor finishing cost us.  Another day we would have got something out of it.

Theo was certainly busier than Moss.

How did moss go?

Couple of standard saves. Badly miss read a through ball and got caught stranded. No blame on the goals.

We had 15 shots compared to their 11, but both teams had 5 shots on target. Theo made 5 saves, Moss made 3. :)

We had 283 completed passes in this game, above our average of 244.8 over the previous 5 games. We only made 172 against Perth and 197 against the Jets.

+1
+ another one for Delorus
+ maybe another one for someone else who has said much the same
rest of the forum in angstville
signs of life, but still a struggling midfield, still a failure to take chances and still the sloppy defending
you wonder how much this could turn with a morale injection and a wee bit of luck and confidence
but that midfield is still below the A-League par level and making life hard for both the back four and the front three

[edit] and for the first time our talisman Ifill is adding ... zilch, at both playing and leadership

Haha yeah probably sound as I bitter as I feel right now but will bounce back. Unfortunately 80% just doesn't cut it. Some good football tonight at times overwhelmed by the lack of quality at other times. Really looking forward to Carlos holding the middle of the park next season.

Not sure what game you were watching. First half it took us more than  30 mins to get more than 3 passes together. Second half we were better, but were 2-0 down and the Roar stopped playing.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
