Why take Vince Lia off the park, when he was playing the best out of all our players? Why take Daniel off the park when he was our best attacking outlet? Why leave f**king Tim Brown and Leo f**king Bertos on the park when they were total f**king sh*t?

Perth were good value for their win. Wanted it more for some reason, and adapted far better to the conditions. Can't work it out. Writing was on the wall way before Perth got the goal they deserved to clinch it.

The crowd noise was the only positive thing about that game. Everyone that turned up deserves a medal, or at least a fridge magnet. Interesting to hear so many different chants today. When I was at my one and only RoF game the other day I was very surprised at how quiet it was compared to what I usually hear coming through on the tele.

I just do not get why:
a) you would sub Daniel at 60 mins. Ifill and Sanchez and Ifill apart he is and was today our most creative player
b) you could possibly think that our chances were better with Bertos on the field than Daniel
c) why Lia was taken off and not Brown
d) no arrangements are made to keep the bench dry in conditions like today
e) what Lochead does to retain his permanent residency in the team
f) why Greenacre is not given a decent partner up front
g) why this country seems to have a love affair with Ricky Herbert
h) why Sky Sports stick with Dewhurst - totally sick of his uniformed almost always negative judgments of Phoenix players - has he played the ame at the top level? I doubt it, in which case he should describe the action and then shut the **** up.

Warner error prone AGAIN.
Herbert hopeless at making meaningful subs AGAIN!

In all the "excitement"- the referee didn't seem to notice the goal was off-side.

Now actions needed:

Warner - dropped.

Bertos - buy someone so we can drop him.

Lochhead - make him practice crossing at least 30 hours a week.

Herbert - arrgghhh . . . .

Overall Perth deserved the win because they actually tried to go for it. All the stats were in their favour I believe.

A) Was Brown playing today?
B) Bertos was no good, again
C) Manny I love you, but your passing was woeful today
D) How many times can Lochhead pass it out over the sideline
E) Ifill is amazing
F) Who's the female commentator that you see at half in the Aussie games? She's tasty and makes my eyes happy

You guys sounded great today. One of very few highlights I'd struggle to recall.

Please note I am back from the UK after missing the 13 goals scored in the last 2 home games. Therefore, today has 0-0 written all over it! Apologies in advance.

Well I did warn you all...only it was even worse than my predicition!

A grim game played in atrocious conditions.

IMO Perth were the better team and created better chances overall, we did not deserve anything out of the game. Other than a brief spell in the second half, we created very little.

How do Brown and Bertos escape being subbed week after week? Those two should have been taken off instead of Daniel and Lia. Bertos in particular was terrible and Brown did his usual missing in action type performance.

What was Pavlovich up to as well? That time when Ifill hit the diagonal ball and Pav didn't go for it was beyond belief, he could easily have got there!

Overall we just not get a grip on the game and Ifill when he came on was the only one who looked remotely capable of making anything happen.

Bad day at the office and getting absolutely soaked was not much fun either.

Mostly we were bored so tried to have some fun. The "Throw the ball, keep the ball, score a goal" chant that lasted about 2 minutes was hilarious.

I listen to the radio commentary at the game and really enjoy it.

Came home and listened to five minutes of the TV commentary - it is dreadful,

Do yourself a favour if you have to watch it on the tele, turn the sound down and listen to the radio insread.

The thing is that never works due to different delays.

When I was under the tunnel at the Jest game we scored 2 goals file I was backstage. We heard you guys roaring before we saw the goals.

Yellow Stadium.

Or in Dunedin this became Indoor Stadium.

The two home games this season against Perth have been my worst two live footballing experiances ever.......

Sitting there wet through and freezing my arse off and then seeing your side getting outplayed is not much fun.....coz we were outplayed. Perth packed the midfield again and they swarmed wide in defense and we did not counter their tactics.....Too many players were static and the whole team looked flat.

Is there some Nix rule that Rickie has to make subs at exactly 60 mins....coz it was obvious that the 11 that started were getting outplayed and he needed to change things. Time after time Sanchez was screaming out for the ball and pointing down at his feet but we constantly tried to play down the touch lines(where it was most congested) Sanchez should have been the "go to" guy in those conditions...most of the time he was ignored centrally.

With 7 of our last 11 games away from home I am afraid that the loss of 3 points today is going to cost us bigtime

Leo was pretty sh*te, in a way just stock standard Leo, but just for the record he did actually beat a player on one occasion tonight down the left flank. His cross was chipped nicely to Vukovic but I was so surprised that he went around his man that I celebrated.

Fuck this stupid game

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Next season there should be a season ticket option that doesn't include Perth games.

WTF is up with Herbert's love affair with Bertos and Brown....

Has Brown even been subbed off when he wasn't injured?

Their tactics were simple and effective, swarm and take control the midfield, they did it of course with the help from our non-existence midfield in Leo and Brown.

Then Ricki seemed to finally pick up their tactics at 60min mark, and subbed off Lia and Daniel...wtf!!??

Brown & Bertos's 90min game guarantee is just beyond my belief...what's in Ricki's mind...arghh

I am beginning to think that Brown and Bertos are illegitimate children of Ricki's.

Both are CRAP.

+ 1 Would love to hear an interviewer have the balls to ask Ricki the same thing instead of the back slapping bullsh*t we normally get.

Do think our last 2 wins flattered us a little and what we got today was the same rubbish they deliver away from home.Watching Bertos dawdle up the field way we are attacking down the opposite side  gets FKN annoying.Howling bloody southerly and we spend most of the time launching it in the FKN air.

That has be one of the worst i have been to,apart from Daniels effort off the crossbar did we have any other genuine shots on goal.

Maybe they both know something about ricki that he can't afford to become chat in the showers or even worse public so they have negotiated starting XI + never dragged clauses. Both will still be starting when in zimmer frames.

Fuck this stupid game

Sounds like we were dog sh*t but don't blame ricki - point the finger at the guys on the field. We were awesome last week and sounds like this week they were scared of a bit of rain. The coach doesn't hold their friggin hand out there - some people need to realize that

When I was in the U.K, I watched a preseason game between Sc**thorpe United and Winterton town. Winterton Town is an amateur team that is about 5 leagues off the English conference. I can tell you right now that Tim Brown, Leo Bertos, Tony Lochhead and Mirjan Pavlovic would fail to make that side.

I have nothing against Tim Brown but this is professional football. What does he contribute to the team apart from scoring a goal every 6 games? He is unbelievably slow, has a woeful first touch, cannot turn on the ball. I mean what does he do besides filling a space?

I have seen Pavlovic for a while now and I just don't see anything in him. He runs around like a headless chicken. He tried to knock the ball past players and beat them with either strength or pace but he doesn't have either.

Why was Daniel subbed??? Daniel had a superb game for once and he's subbed? What did Leo Bertos do that Daniel didn't?

And why was Vinnie Lia subbed? It makes no sense whatsoever.

Will Brown ever be dropped? Why not have a CM partnership between Vince Lia and Nick Ward. They would complement each other nicely with Vinnie Lia being responsible for the ball-winning defense aspects of the midfield and Nick Ward implementing the creativity.
