Went into RYOS on Lambton Quay this afternoon and they had run out. Gonna have to pick one up at the stadium tomorrow.

This is Nixie puppets first home game is it not?  Will people be bringing theirs to the stadium?

Could get a bit tricky at the Ave afterwards I guess.

That would be awesome at the ave afterward. Only if you weren't the only one who had one.

Always negative. Can't fans have just a little bit of fun, after all, we've had a shit season.

We were heading down to Queen's Wharf for the parade and a group of people asked us what was going on:

J82: "It's for the Phoenix.  There's a football match at the stadium."

Curious onlooker: "Oh, What's with the big chicken?"

J82:"It's a phoenix.  It just looks like a chicken."

Rest of group: <much giggling>

FFS always negative you are having a laugh.Just to satisfy you im celebrating us getting a wooden spoon in our cabinet and have embraced what was a good season with nothing to complain about. Not against having fun but not sure why a FKN chicken has seemingly become our mascot. As for my post read again what i said and then think about tomorrows date.

To be fair, I believe it is supposed to be a Phoenix. So I take it you have issue with the design, rather than the mascot itself, based on what you just said.

Nixie sure has been a lucky mascot! Wish we'd had him for the start!

So which one assaulted the kid at half time?  Nixie or Harry the Rabbit?

LG thinks it was Harry, but it was Nixie who stayed with the kid for a while.

It was  the rabbit tackling another guy straight into her that caused it. And she's no "kid".

Yes you are right, they want to make sure they redo the costume before Carlos arrives or he will think all his Xmas's have come at once.

Defo the Easter Bunny. I can't believe it took so long for anyone to realise the poor girl was in trouble. She appeared out cold for about a minute and no one put her in a recovery position. Glad she's ok, but what a stupid friggen game anyway. stick with the cross bar challenge, it's easier!!

Wasn't a head injury, it was her back, so putting her in the recovery position would have been a stupid thing to do. They need to get rid of the Celebrity Penalty Shootout, and move the crossbar challenge from before the game (when nobody is there to watch) to halftime, and have nothing else. Nobody really cares about the halftime entertainment anyway.

I'm surprised it doesn't do the same thing as the banner and attempt to fly away when the kids pick it up.

The angle we hold ours up at probably doesn't help.

Yeah angle is probably part of the issue, but I am sooo disappointed that it has yet to take off, I have seen it go close once, but one of the adults grabbed that corner and stopped it.
