Can only see a replay at 6am or similar tomorrow.  Do we miss out on our Friday night goalfest?

What a load of old s**t. I'm paying good money for 4 sports channels and not one of them can show tonight's game. Sky, pack of t**sers

No football on telly, I might be forced to talk to the wife

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Mine's out with the girls tonight, was looking forward to sitting watching on the big screen - especially without the endless interruptions.  No such luck.

Digressing now, but just to demonstrate my enormous tolerance...Last week after watching the Phoenix v Queensland match, Mrs C came in for the last two minutes and said to me "the Wellington Phoenix are no good as a soccer team are they?"  My response was only "you'd know being such a football expert".  Steaming on the inside...

As the T-shirt at the school fair said last Sunday "We now interrupt this marriage to bring you the football"  Hear hear!!

Was just telling a mate of from Sydney last night how the Phoenix seems to have been quite a relationship breaker (or shooglifier!), the number of punters in the Cambridge on Sunday texting or ringing up their missus to placate them!!

We should have a count of how many phoenix induced breakups theres been!

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Once again Tony P- There for the people. Much appreciated. I can understand the cricket being on, and sort of understand the tennis being on, but replay of the netball still- and the inconsistencies in their A-League coverage... Come on Sky...

The way Sky crowed, I thought they were going to show every A League game "live". Mind you, they cant even show "Live"  Sky UK Championship matches but prefer to show Ranfurley shie;d replays from 25 years ago instead. Ive seen old golf, tennis, rugby threepeats on when there was a "live" football game on. I guess they have the mental belief that NZ is only a rugby, racing and beer viewership.

About time they grew up along with our idots who think drinking till your paraletic is the only way to have a good time. drinking in moderation is great but.....

Anyway, I guess this just sums up Sky's arrogance towards football fans.

Now now, let's not hate Sky too much.  We probably get the best football coverage in the world I reckon, they are just having a wee problem here.  Hopefully won't happen again now Mr P is on the case.

Final score 1-0. Roar take it out, looks like they pretty much ran rings around the Victory, with 57% possession and 18 attempts on goal versus Victory's 8. I guess it is the result (at this stage) that a top four seeking Phoenix would want.

watched most of it while at work, seemed like a good game. melbourne had there chances but couldnt convert, off the post once. but queensland hit the post from a nice set play as well. seemed whenever i looked up at the telly there  were of free kicks in shooting distance, bit odd but good result for roar. talking to a mariners fan while he watched it and he likes the look of queensland. while i despise the fukers and everything they stand for i have to agree, wit reinaldo finding som form and those 2 hobbitesque fukwits playing outwide and marcinho floating arnd somewer theyll score goals. moore holds defence nicely. jubilation at final whistle showed how much result meant to them. and bigtobz, go find a job ya skinny dick

Sky should get a "football channel" Considering there's endless football from pretty much every time-zone in the world.

I hear ya mate, I have an experience like this, it was the time when Phoenix were losing their third straight game, the gf comes in and she asks me how we're going, I say "Oh, we're losing but it's only 2-1", to which shes replies "Have the Phoenix actually won a game this year?", I was like , yea of course they've won a game and they've drawn a couple.  Reminds me all the time when Liverpool has a bad run, there's always an anti-'pool supporter around when you need one.

Yes, and he's there for football and the Nix - which is the same a being there for this person!

Th point i'm trying to make (pre-coffee, struggling) is that the club and NZ football needs consistent A-league coverage. I'm glad Tony P has had a word in their shell-like and I reckon we should let them know what we think (some of you will already have done so and I'm about to do so).

Perhaps 10-20 emails from us will, double the impact of Tony's input: which may have been the motivation for Tony's post.

Get intae 'em!!!

For those of you who have missed the daily humiliation by GB against the kiwis in the rugby league, that can tune into sky 3 and watch your daily repeat of it. I wish they would show some footie as much as they have repeated this league thrashing!

Enjoy the game ON TELEVISION. I'll have a beer celebrating the fact you are not taking up the seat next to me at the Back Bencher.

I just checked and in the next 12 hours, there will be 7 lots of 30 minutes of League highlights. Is that overkill or what Sky??
