They did that last round when they moved the City game to Auckland.

Double header everyone, Watch the Baseball followed by the football.
Wellington Phoenix Media Release | Wellington Phoenix to return to Eden Park in February
As part of Eden Park’s vision to diversify and attract new events, it’s gearing up to bring an A-League match to New Zealand’s national stadium, followed up with a Super Rugby clash.
The sports lovers’ extravaganza weekend next February will feature Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Victory and then, the following night, Blues v Crusaders – showcasing just what the stadium can achieve within a 24-hour turnaround.
Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome says his team is yet to lose at Eden Park – a record which can’t be touted by many teams.
“As a club we are thrilled we can return to New Zealand’s most iconic sporting stadium. We have played at Eden Park on five previous occasions and are yet to lose. This Wellington team does not fear any team - we’ve already beaten a full strength Victory in the pre-season and with a big Auckland crowd behind us, we know we can do it again.”
Eden Park CEO Nick Sautner is excited to be bringing the A-League’s biggest club to New Zealand’s national stadium.
“We’re pleased to have secured an opportunity to offer Aucklanders a jam-packed weekend of sport at our iconic Auckland stadium and showcase our first-class ability to turn around the venue quickly. The introduction of premier football in next year’s event calendar is a testament to our desire to modernise and attract visitors from all across the city.”
Wellington Phoenix go head to head with Melbourne Victory on Friday 15 February at 7.35pm. The Blues battle the Crusaders on Saturday 16 February at 7.35pm. Tickets will be on sale this Friday 7 December via Ticketmaster.
Just changed the title of the thread so that it's more obvious that this has been announced now.
Also worth noting that the game will be on Friday 15 February, rather than Saturday 16 February as originally announced.
Ytf are we playing at Eden Park? There's gonna be no one there, surley
Ground availability I suspect.
Will ticket include free transport to and from?
What about the other Home & Away game?
What about the other Home & Away game?
To be played in Summer Bay?
Damn. 3 of us had a great Saturday in Auckland last year but won't want to take leave on Friday for this. I'm away for every other game in 2019 so hopefully the timing of the 2nd "away" game works out.
Certainly not helping to attract travelling fans.
All three Auckland stadiums are in use on the Saturday.
From an Aucklander perspective, finally I won't have to schlep up to the nightmarish QBE stadium - I can jump on a train and be at Eden Park, surrounded by decent bars and food joints, ahead of the game.

To be fair- QBE is not much further by the busway and has some handy bars nearby, plus the sponsors product at the ground. The busway is fairly decent.
I used to feel like that, but had good times of late.
Its further if you live in South Auckland ??

Ballsy. Let’s hope they put some marketing $$ behind it.

Westpac isn't free that weekend, why the game was never going to be there. This event takes time to set up a very elabroate stage. https://www.westpacstadium.co.nz/our-events/event/...

Eden park, thank god it isn't at Albany. If the Phoenix are winning, could get a great crowd along. If they are bottom of the table, playing like shark, could be very dismal.
Bloody Friday. Do I have to take a day off work to get to it? I was excited till I found out it was a Friday.
Switch it to Napier and a Saturday game Domey!

I can walk to Eden Park. And walk home the worse for ale. :D

I've been lurking the forum for awhile, now time for the first post.
Ill be travelling up to Auckland for this one, I just wanna know, where are we standing?
Aisle 413 yes, but looking at photos of Eden Park there's three tiers and I don't wanna get a ticket and then find I'm separated from the group.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
413 is definately the Fever Zone
Yes Im aware thats the zone, what Im wanting to know is where will the travelling suppprters be getting their seats in the zone.
I dont want to be singing all by myself of you get what I mean.
Eden Park has three tiers separating everyone in the asile. I dont want to get one on the middle or lower tier to find everyone is in tje opposite if you get what I mean.
Somehow I don't thinking finding a place in the Zone will be hard. We could stand clooser together to get you in there.
