PREDICTION: If the Nix are Top 2 by the end of the month, we'll get 20,000 to Eden Park

If you are correct [even a crowd in the late 10s, what does that tell us? That the crowds will come if we are a winning side. How do you get a winning side? Get the right coach and the right players. Would be interesting to know what this year's wage bill is versus previous years to see if there is any correlation - $$$ may not be the total answer [which we probbaly suspect anyway].

My guess is this team is cheaper than the past few years, potentially the lowest wage bill in the league (depending on whether or not McCormack returns to CCM). Rudan said in the press early in the season (or before the season started) that recruitment has been tough and he's left money in the budget for January.

Possibly based on his vast EPL experience and character.

But he was signed from a League One side.

I recall Rudan saying he had bigger money offers than us but wanted to make a difference, I think Taylor himself also said he could have gone to the championship.

If I am remembering correctly, he is within the cap.

I can walk to Eden Park. And walk home the worse for ale. :D

It'll take me 40mins to walk to Eden park (Live real close to ACFC home ground).

It's a $5 uber if I'm legless ?

I'll be happy to live in Remuera once we confiscate the golf course and build affordable housing on it

Flight insurance? Shouldn't need travel if you've already got contents..

I'll be there in my colours mate <3

But what if the game gets rescheduled to Thursday and moved to Canberra? Insurance might come in handy...

That's flight insurance not travel insurance.

You could not make this up..... I just rang ticketmaster, their answer machine said that they operate 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturday and said they were closed and disconnected the call. Time is 17:05 or 5 past 5pm. WTF Ticketmaster, it's Friday, you should still be working!!

A heap of organisations don't work their normal working hours over the 'holiday period', understandably. Preferably they would update the message on the phone though.

I think Feverbot should make a bid to run Ticketmaster.  It's work ethics are legendary.

I work in Mt Eden. We always have beers on Fridays from 4pm, so will be super charged come kickoff.

Can anyone recommend a good bar that I should contact near Mt Eden to see if they will host us? We were at the Faltering Fullback for the last two games at Eden Park, but google tells me it is closed.

Closest is the Kingslander, who would probably be happy to host.

F Bar is close, cheap pints but a bit dingy for some - I love it.

Morningside Tavern isn't too far.

Clare Inn on Dominion Road might do it

Kingslander or Neighbourhood (Macs bar) on the same road as the faltering fullback. A bit smaller but Portland Public House is also there.  Kingslander probably better suited. Clare Inn on dominion road is similar distance on the other side of Eden park.

Fuck this stupid game

Clare Inn sponsors my Gaelic football team, I 100% recommend them (tell them Daphne from Harps sent you)

On the other hand if you like great beer Flight 605 would be the ticket. They've even stocked 433 at times. Smaller than the Good George place in Hamilton.

Passing thought- where is the new Garage Project pub and surely some sponsor hook ups?

Just to add options 4 and 5!

Garage Project in Auckland is just a cellar door no actual pub (yet)

Portland Public House is the best bar in the area probably, The Kingslander or Neighbourhood also all good and have more of a sports bar vibe - perhaps more suited to Fever buffoonery.

My mate's the operations manager for other businesses they run. It's a fairly new place in the Morningside Precinct - next to Crave. Decent joint and not too far from Eden Park. I might see if I can rustle a few football buddies to come along.
