Northern Membership drive

I'm just renewing my membership (I know, I know such a slacker) and I noticed that there are Northern Memberships- Phoenix games on the 10th of December in Hamilton and the 17th and Saturday 4th of March in Auckland.

$50 for 3 games for adults and $15 for kids.

I was wondering if any of us in the upper part of the country wanted to get involved in donating memberships a la last year to places like Starship and so on?

I'm sure Wellingtonians will have mixed feelings about this, but #metrics right? I'd never want the 'Nix to be anything other than a Welly based club. I'd hate them to become the NZ Phoenix.

But considering this offer this year anyone up for trying to make the most of it?

I'll check in with, I think it was Yomcat who organised the Welly stuff last year and try and set up a page for donations.

Anyone who has got any suggestions about charities/clubs etc that would use the passes feel free!

Also think about any efforts that we could make to get awareness out about the 3 match deal- clubs, social media, noticeboards, summer soccer leagues and indoor leagues  etc etc

Hey, happy to help with this anyway I can, looked after the memberships we raised for Save the Nix last year. The Fever Dreams will have Ronald McDonald Families attend all the away games as well.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

Hey I'm keen. What's the plan? Or isn't there one yet?
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Cool- I'm going to try to set up a donations thing and then come up with clubs/charities and so on where they could usefully be dispersed.

Probably be really good if it could be done this week- so that gives people a week to make travel plans to Hamilton if they are going to the Dec 10th game. Or we could just give them to folk in Hamilton or nearby...

Just my idea, but probably needs a bit of assistance to get it going.

Any ideas of places to donate tickets to?

Creating the give a little page. Any ideas on places to give to across Auckland or any Hamilton knowledge would be great!

I'll contact club in the afternoon.

If you could post the page on your social media and donate once it's up that would be great!

Ill contribute and share once its up.  Though I don't know places in those cities Hospices staff are usually worthy of a thank you surprise.

Yeh- the difference with Welly is that you have to find people who can/want to travel to the footy.

It's a 1 1/2 hour trip between Auckland and Hamilton, and then again easily another hour trip between Mount Smart and QBE within Auckland itself.

That's partly why I was thinking footy clubs too- people who might have gone to one anyway being encouraged to go to 3 and to sign up as members and get the swag, as Miles David would say.

But yeh, Hospices, Starship, Refuges were ones that came up last time around I think....

Page here. A bit messy and still getting moderated and stuff. I think it needs 3 donations to kick start it...I'm trying to change the beneficiary to the club!

Your one last year looks soooo much better. Dang
