Perhaps not as exciting as what's turned into the D Day Landing thread but as well as the NBR and the Dom Post, another publication landed on my desk today, featuring the Phoenix as its front page lead.

WELCOME NOTE
"We've had a busy few months since our last Newsletter. One of the highlights being the Phoenix Football game at the Westpac Stadium. We were lucky enough to have been invited by the Wellington Phoenix Football Club to attend their second to last home game for the year. What a treat it was. We were given our very own room at the south end of the field on the 3rd floor along with reserved seating directly in front of this room. In addition, the Phoenix also supplied us all wth what must have been some of Wellington's best pizzas along with soft drinks to help wash it down. Before the game got underway we were visited by some of the Phoenix team members for an autograph and photo session. All those who attend the game enjoyed it immensely. WDSA would like to thank the Phoenix football club for this truly memorable opportunity."

This is one of many reasons why I am proud that it's my club.
