O Week

Our next home game (vs City) is the Friday of O Week, and I think this is a marketing opportunity not to be missed. It here will be thousands of potential fans moving to Wellington that week and if we could get them along it would be a boost to the #metrics.

It could be advertised at the university and the halls as an event, telling the first years where to meet before the game, and they could be given song sheets so they will join in with the chants. If they get involved have a good time, despite the inevitable result, they might come back the next week.

I know VUWSA (the students association) subsidised Wellington lions tickets last year, and a similar scheme would really help get the crowd in.

Also I noticed that there is no student option for the final four ticket package, because if there was, considering the number of home games left, a few could be sold.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I was interested to hear your thoughts

I think something has been tried before with organisning the students during O week but someone maybe able to advise better there.

Are you at Vic Uni, we will need people who are there or are free during the day to hand out the flyers. (Probably won't help that all they here in the news is that we are Shark but it's worth a shot trying to get them to come along.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

Yes, I'm a student. I'm working for the uni over the summer, but am based at Gracefield. I should finish up there earlier that week and will be free/at uni after that.

I'm sure I could find a few others who would be able to help out

I'm hoping it's all positive media in two weeks time,  with a ten year license confirmed on the back of consecutive away victories.

But, if we're still shark, have no license, haven't won in 11, or scored in 3, then we won't be able to convince anyone to come.
