Official Phoenix Web Site

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Meh, it's not that bad. Pretty much the same as the other A-League sites. I don't really visit it though - no point when you can just come here.

The phoenix site is built using the same format as all the other a-league teams. if you visit the main a-league webiste and follow the differant team links at the top all the websites are the same. Obviously they have some form of web provider contract that prevents anybody doing an independant website, similar to the rebook deal with the team shirts.

WPFC official website must cnmiply with the A-League website format. The club doesn't have much say in how it looks and what content is included.

But that's all good, cos the fans can just start their own site for less official matters - hence YF!

C'mon man you have to be joking, the official nix website is more useless then either version of the knights ones hands down.

Not impressed....all they did was grab the Knights website and change some of the graphics. You can tell by the buttons, still in Knights colours. Needs serious work.

Not that it matters, I come here for my 'nix fix anyway :P

The official sites are good. Why doesn't Wellington's site have any links though like team, club, enquiries link etc. like all the other club sites?

yeah, They need to have some more team and player and results stats once the league kicks off.

Like the standard MLSfootball sites. they say how many minutes , games played, started, goals scored, yellow cards, assists etc.

If we build it, they will come...

Shame it has to be based on the A league template but thats the way it is. Maybe whoevers in charge of it can have a look at the other clubs sites and make some improvements.
At least the guys looking after this site are doing a great job

The A-League determines the official website format, not the clubs. So they didn't rip the Knights format, it was given to them by the league. And yes, it has been the same template for the past three years. Just look at all the other clubs, they're all the same format.

I wasn't referring to the template, I realise all the A-League clubs use the same format. I'm referring to that some parts (namely the buttons to switch between news stories) are in Knights colours instead of ours. I know it's anal, but it's just one of those niggly things that bug me haha

Dont forget when they first started the site it was done quickly and dont think they had all the staff to look after these things. Would hope we start to see improvements coming up. comments TonyP

This season's format is different to the first two.
