I made the trek this weekend, worth every cent.

I'm at the Airport now, reasonable amount of Phoenix gear around here at the moment as well.

I'm very broke and looking unlikely for the next game, someone (i.e someone who isn't me) should organise a minivan from Auckland. I'd be onboard.

HAHA correct on both counts!!

Well, I'm intending on booking flights in about 15 minutes time that is!!!

We watched last night's game on the couch and my wife went from completed bored to jumping up and down and screaming on the 1st penalty save.

I asked what changed? She said that she finds penalty shootouts exciting!

She later asked "are you allowed to save penalties with your feet?" (referring to the 2nd save). So cute.

I have not confirmed accommodation with friends yet but screw it - I'm coming anyway!!! Hope to catch up with a few of you when I'm up :D

You are all slackers.  I will organise it and I don't even live in Auckland!

Get in there, Smithy.  Get it sorted out. Actually it's not a bad shout, I might try to investigate the possibilities today. Watch this space. (Unless Smithy was serious, of course. )

Where ya coming from Buffon? :)

Dunedin is expensive. I paid $139 each way (now up to $169). I checked out for a friend from Auckland and it was only $65 each way (carry-on only).

Competition...

$159 return? Dude, I paid $139 EACH way if you missed that!

I'm sure I saw a Monday return ticket FROM $65 when I check the House of Travel search database.

Wow. Buffy and Ahmad both back in welly.
Reminds me of something that happened back in november.

Make sure you plater your face (and possible banners) over the news again Ahmad.
Are the kids coming up with you too?

Selfishly alone this time, don't want to keep cutting school.

I don't tend to travel for just a couple of days so I'm staying through until Thursday to see an exhibit at Te Papa and meet up with friends again.

Not sure I'll have a banner this time but will definitely be "in the zone" in the zone!
