Despite the performance, the result and the utter disgrace of the
select few of "supporters" throwing bottles, I would like to say
congratulations to Costa Barbarouses for making his professional
debut yesterday. Although he only got 5 minutes, I hope to see him
get a few more chances and wish him all the best. DKP222007-10-22

Well said DKP22.It was good to see Costa on the field at last for
the Phoenix.
I wonder if Ricki Herbert might be tempted to let the young guns loose as the Roar did with Zullo and Kruse in recent weeks?

well done Costa, and well done Elrich and Lia whose season is
pretty much kicking off now.
Love the way the whole team played. Pity about that mistake in
the end - but Mossy and the defence held the CCM strikers quite
well. The midfield was devastating, especially with Elrich
dominating on his wing, Aloisi doing all the running and Smeltzy +
Daniel trying really hard to leave a mark.
Let's hope things will get brighter cause the lads deserve it
(and so do we).

Just watched the A League highlights here in England last
night. Elrich's goal was up there with Rooney and Owen and I
was overjoyed to see Costa out there. Whislt I didn't see
much he played a great ball through to Smeltzy who fluffed a great
scoreing chance but.... Plodder, "What the f**k were you
thinking/trying to do?" that was totally amature mate :(

must admit after the two rather lacklustre performances in Aussie
it was good to see the Phoenix fired up again, what with the early
CCM goal, the Elrich goal, the missed penalty ....really was 90
mins and 90 emotions.
hope they take the same commitment over to the next 3 games ....
