OK, so things like broadcasting rights and traffic mean that livestreaming is probably out of the question.

But like many overseas (or too-poor-for-cable) Fever members, I find myself starved of match footage of a team I may be prone to mention in the same sentence as "til I die". Move back to Wellington, you say? Oh, t'were it that easy. Well it probably is. But that aside:

Anybody keen to try recording and filesharing the games? I know its not perfectly legal, but in this case I think if they won't give the game to be by official means, then they forfeit all money-making chances on selling me it. Therefore, they are up-for-grabs to the lowest bidder.
Seriously though. I'm willing to pay money. I pay 5+ bucks a pop to watch the Hurricanes and the Lions (not to mention the RWC), so I'd have to say I'd be keen to shell out at least that much to scope some Nix games.
Anyone with the capacity and interest in this, please let me know. Maybe if we can find enough people keen (and keen to fund, if poss.), then we could think about this? I mean, its all as simple as one guy putting the game on the net.

If this isn't the right place for this topic, feel free to PM or email me about it and lets see what kind of ball we can get rolling.

The best way for it to be done is to find someone with a DVD recorder to 'tape it', convert it to .avi format and then upload it as a torrent on a torrent site. I have the idea but not the equipment sorry.

Exactly - but who does? Surely someone. And then all we need is a handful of people willing to give that someone a penny for their troubles. Or more preferably, five fiddy....

Anyway, now I'm trying to put a list of people who together who are keen, so can anyone who would download the games if they were available please PM me? Also lemme know how much money you could part with to help the cause, if poss. I figure it will be a bitch to put an exact price on it, so we might have to go with charity donations here...

And of course, anyone with a DVD recorder, please put your hand up.

great idea Progeny! i don't have Sky, and I don't have any moral qualms about filesharing

I like tautologies because I like them.

I have a faster upstream than most people get downstream and a very large data cap so I could start the ball rolling if they're going to get torrented...

I contacted Fox Sports at one stage to see if I was able to access A-League games (for a fee) and they never replied as I have the same problem.  I may try again however.

I've got Sunday's game on my pvr. Could do a copy to dvd if required, or maybe put up a torrent.

Yeah man - you and ANYONE who wants to put up torrents will get big ups. I'm trying to form a system here, but it might just work if people put their hands up and do it themselves.
Post a new thread if anyone gets a game on torrent, and I figure we can get a bunch of people seeding fairly quick. I know NZ isn't great for seeding (what with the limited upload rate and having to pay after so many gigs), so maybe guys overseas can get themselves useful and seed here. With our help the Phoenix can get more seeds than Harry Potter 5, surely...

As far as DVDs are concerned, I think that's a compilation job for Fever Central once we've got a bit of the season under the belt. I'd pry buy one... but I'm more interested in filesharing and actually watching some games over here first!

Funnily enough that's the only game I have on DVD - someone at the office gave it to me. I'm sure I still have it. Want me to send it to you to complete your collection?
