How do young athletes go about making their way up to the Allwhites, Wellington Phoenix, or High level club teams around NZ and the rest of the world?

Should they be playing for specific clubs in order to get noticed?

More info would be very much appreciated!

That is a very broad question.

Do you have a specific person in mind?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Change your surname to "Fallon" is usually a good start...

Well, playing in your Federation youth national league team would be a good start.

Otherwise playing at the top winter league level in whatever region you're in and standing out.

And then don't be afraid to ring the coach and ask for a go when they start training for the ASB Prem.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I guess starring for the a college 1st XI would be a great start. Like someone else mentioned, ASB Youth League would also be a good chance to get exposure. But it sounds like you're about 8? so those would be some good targets as you get older.

The obvious answer is Auckland City. Developing NZ talent, for NZ.
