I was there. It hurt.

Even Uncle Jimmy (or whatever crap they were serving at Suncorp) couldn't dull the pain.

Some smart-arse little Qld kids tried to sign my YF shirt... little bastards!!! (thought to be fair, it was kinda funny).

And yes, more grief from the Grounf Staff - not quite as bad as last time, but got told to sit down three times and threatened with the coppers twice lol.

What's the reason for it?  From TV the stadium looked relatively empty so I would have thought there was plenty of room for you to stand up without getting in the way of others.  Are they just being cocks?  Did you see an elbow? Cantona forever2007-11-12 11:13:10

There were people sitting behind me - within five rows (I'm assuming that must be the rule here if your not wearing Orange).

Cocks? Yes, they were.

Elbow? What fecking elbow? Even a few of the locals made the comment that it seemed harsh (due to the fact that nobody actually saw it).

If you were to be hassled for that at the Stadium they'd need about 15,000 stewards.  Even in the prawn zone where my broker and I "do football"  we occasionally "stand up for the Phoenix".  At least they didn't spray you with capsicum spray (as per Melbourne v Sydney) or did they?

Queenslanders obviously getting a bit soft nowadays.  All those overly civilised Kiwis moving in.  Shame.  Don't tell me the cops don't need to shave their backs every day anymore either?  Losing all the character of the place.
