We give them Smeltz and help train Higgins so he can be a better back up for them next year.

Fixed.

To me it's a strange decision. Get GCU keeper and help him with his training for them next year. Once the 'injury cover' is over that leaves us wth a grand total of 1 keeper for next year.

In the article it says talks fell over with Bosnich because they couldn't guarantee him playing time?? Madness. A big opportunity missed to sign the best keeper in the league for next year I feel

It's not like we can't sign a different keeper in 4 weeks.

About time they replaced Mark "flapper" Paston. This should have been done ages ago! hes a liability and would be shown up in the NZFC let alone the A-league. Hes also a tool and gives the club a bad name! H.I.B paston you w**ker.

Lol first off Higgins is injury cover and Paston is not being replaced long-term. Secondly if you knew anything at all you would realise that he was the reason we didn't lose against Adelaide 12-1 and how on earth does he give the club a bad name??? I know you are new but making crazy statements isn't the best way to start off.

I've been one of Paston's harshest critics but he was very good in the 1 and a half games before he got injured.

And I think you would agree he has never been a liability and wouldn't be shown up in the NZFC.wellyphoenixfan2008-12-11 01:01:26

No way is he a liability!!!
I used to think Moss was way better than Paston but lately I've really admired his play and would pick him over Mossy anyday.

I was wanting Bozza too - and he would have helped pull more fans in; esp with Fred gone for however long it is. I think we should put in a huge attempt for signing him for next season.

But I'm happy with higgins, if Bosnich is unavailable, then he's gotta be one of the best keepers we could get, A-league experience and knows some of the team. I think I'm happy with it and don't expect him to get game time anyway
