WELLINGTON PHOENIX
So much pre-season promise and then suddenly it all began to unravel pretty horribly. Still, its amazing what a chat with the club owner can do and four points from the last six suggests a corner has been turned. Shane Smeltzs goals have been priceless once again and its not hard to understand why the New Zealanders are so desperate to keep him. Too much reliance on one player to score your goals is a worry though. The defence, so maligned last year, has not been anywhere near as solid as you would expect with the players available to man it. Westpac needs to be a fortress and a place for visiting teams to fear. That isnt yet the case.

I just read that before.

Very generous 5/10.  I would have put it at 3 or 4/10, because there is so much more to come from the team

It probably won't really be seen as a fortress until we start winning regularly at home though.

A sandcastle with wet thick sand around the walls though, certainly will take a decent rogue wave or a well placed tennis ball to knock it down

Yep.

I think a win on Sunday would see us a 5, a draw a 4, a loss a 3.

5/10 isn't bad, I think a 4 would be slightly more justified

You know we belong together...
