It seems that a few a leaguers are beginning to get noticed and trialling overseas for clubs, including a couple championship teams.

Why haven't any of the Nix players been approached, (excluding the largely dismal backs). Ferrante particularly at the end looked very good and his pasing is top rate, Daniel lead in assits despite injuries, suspensions and not starting every game.

Yet we see Zadkiovich who could barely get a start apparently getting snapped up by Palace.

Is it because we came last, hell the Perth Striker is at Hannover 96 and is apparently close to signing.

They know no one will be prised from the atmosphere of the club, I even hear Becks was reluctant to leave.

Agree. But if this season lives up to expectations and we do okay (mid-table or better) other clubs will start to take notice of our players. No way to avoid that.

The flip-side is that if all goes well, the Phoenix will start to attract top flight players looking to move to the A-League.

i'm glad our players are not being approached by anyone..think if Daniel, Mossy, Smeltz et cetera were taken away from us..it'd be a massive pain in the neck!

With such a short season this is arguebly ne untapped revenue resource for the club. Admittedly i don't want to see out best players go either, although in truth i'd rather our kiwi boys get noticed and sign up for championship teams in the future.

Better for their career, the games profile here and the all whites.

Could be a revenue stream to loan players to European clubs once our season has finished - they may well have 3 months to go and no transfer window

lets not forget most of our players were contracted for the upcoming season. this time next year i suspect a few of the boys will have foreign clubs knocking on their doors.

Lochead looked superb until the formation changes...

While it would be great for our guys to get noticed and taken away by Championship teams, it would be sad to lose them from the nix, and from what we've seen of our current overseas players I don't think it would benefit the all whites.  Our overseas players are not coming back to play the qualifiers.  Sure the games are hardly world cup level, but if our overseas players only play in the big matches they're not going to have the communication and combinations that they would were they still playing here.

I'm quite happy that noone's been approached from the nix.  We all know we have some of the best players in the league, if we get to keep them another season because of the 'wooden spoon effect' then I'm glad we came last :0
