In the early match today the LA Galaxy got beaten by Gamba Osaka 1-0.
In the current match the reigning MLS (or is that MSL Frankie ?) champs Houston Dinamo are beating up on Sydney 3-0. In an interesting note, following on from moving the club development officer to the playing staff (Renaud) they have now moved the kit manager to play as well.
3-0 at the half...

na wont find lei lei gao in Hawaii

Funny that there is no Oceania team and it's called Pan-Pacific Cup. Yupp allll in theirrr owwwnn tiimmme that they will call Oceania up.
Is there any money? I'm sure the NZFC teams would like to grab some. How about Waitakere or Auckland? I hear that they are looking for more money if the Phoenix going to the CWC.

I expect the Mexican Football League and the K-League to send teams to make it 1 each from:
Mexico's FMF
USA's MLS
A-League
K-League
J-League
And then figure some stupid way to have the 6th team be the Galaxy or whichever club has the biggest draw at the time. The Hawaii gig is STUPID though. They had NO attendance, and the pitch could not have been worse. They'll have to go to plan B on where to play.
I am officially boycotting games played on concrete with turf on it. Ridiculous!
I heard we're hosting it next year thoughWatching the PPC: puke
I'd like to see the Phoenix and Toronto FC admitted as teams to attract the element of two other countries in the tournament, even if through a play-in (perhaps Toronto vs A-League champion, Phoenix vs MLS champion?). Then it'd be US, Canada, Australia, NZ, Japan...maybe add Korea and Mexico, and you could have a more international tournament with a larger audience. Plus it could help make up for the Phoenix's lack of a qualification option for the AFC Champions League, and Toronto FC's lack of qualification for the Lamar Hunt US Open.
The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

Chile would be awesome. Flying to South/Central America to cheer on the Phoenix would be a dream come true for me! That, and adding the South American angle to it should help boost ratings.

And Peru, and Ecuador. And heck, Bolivias not too far away, and it borders with Brazil, and of course Chile shares a long border with Argentina, so we could invite them all in...
I mean, why bother with the Copa Libertadores if you can play against Central Coast Mariners and Wellington Phoenix...
