I'm coming from Napier, where can I park my car in safety close enough to go to the Backbencher before the match and retrieve it after the game?

you can park anywhere that isn't the Hutt or Porirua

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

Naenae is where you want to park.

Should be all good.  The backbencher is straight opposite parliament, but they won't be in session on Sunday so you don't have to worry about those thieving bastards.

it's quiet that end of town on a Sunday (usually), so anywhere around Molesworth Street should be okay for parking

yeah there's plenty of grass in front of that old building with the big concrete steps in front
 
at the risk of being helpful;, there's also quite a few parking buildings e.g. one on the terrace and one down by the waterfront on the way past the station towards town

We used to have muggers in Wellington now we have Prendeghastly parking meters!!

There is a car park near the centre port building just off the highway and you park right near the stadium which is just across the road
