Lack of passion in kiwi sport? C'mon you have to admitt it. I've never seen so little passion in my life before I came to NZ.Warriors have a little bit, like when they score. Blues, non existent. There is verry little atmosphere at kiwi sports venues.

But there is hope - thanks to the Bloc 5. Created atmosphere - really the only reason I kept turning up to watch the Knights. Some boring bastards didnt like it - but f**k 'em. Kept the game interesting, well sort of, instead of sitting there silent and doing the good ol' kiwi thing and blaming the ref for everything.

Is there passion in kiwi sport outside of the bloc 5?

There's passion, but not really in the form of singing...

The best NZ'ers can do, is 'Allllll Blaaaaaaacks, Alllll Blaaaaaaaacks' or 'Warnies a w**ker (clap, clap, clap) Warnies a w**ker'

Pathetic, I am a Kiwi and i would love to have same kind of sporting culture as the Poms, watcing them at the cricket and football is just fantastic.

Bloc 5 always sounded great on the radio.  I hope Yellow Fever takes a similar approach and that the travelling Bloc 5 get in amongst them and get the Cake Tin rocking

That All Blaaaacks thing gets me. Every time I hear it I turn it off.

I'll have to string together a training video.
Has anyone got a recording of the "Eeyore"?
When the Kingz were playing that huge bloke from the Navy would suck half the air in the stadium and yell "ee-yore" and the whole stadium would know which player was a donkey.

i remember booing off the all blacks after a sh*t as game at carisbrook, the irish should've won and we were quite passionate about our poor performance and how we should've done better. and its not really a kiwi thing to express joy in public really a??

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

You dont want to encourge me to much on that one Oi Oi. Hearing me booming that out over Erricsion was not a pretty sight.

He aint normal.

But Christo, what you describe as being 'kiwi' can also be described as plane boring, and can be held responsible for the sh*tty crowds we get to most sporting things, except the AB's. You Kiwis seem to only get excited when your in aussie stadiums, and you can rival the aussies. Otherwise, you all sit there with your chips and everyone gets relatively bored. Much more exciting when you get into the games.

As much as I hate to admitt it, the Aussies outclass you easy on atmosphere. There is lots to be learnt from them and from the UK. Chants are a start, establishing a place for the 'hardcore fans', but the general people need to get up.

An example of people actually enjoying the game was the last game v Perth for the Knights, not the most entertaining but I think im safe saying that everyone there had a good time (except the ginger perth supporter - dont forget him) due to Bloc 5 getting some atmosphere.

It aint 'kiwi' its just being bloody boring
