here

I would have to say that this is the happiest Ive been in football since the heady days of my FA Cup Final appearance with Millwall FC. The players from that team were a special bunch, many of which I call good friends to this day and I believe this current team is just as close knit and it would be a shame not to win something with such a good bunch of lads so that we have even greater memories to look back on.

I suppose this is the main reason that I signed mid-season for two further years. If its not broken, dont fix it. I honestly believe that if you are happy off the pitch, you are happy on it and with a few decent signings well have a big chance next season.

Another measure of how far weve come is that Jon McKain has been signed by Al Nassr from the Saudi League so people are watching. It has been a pleasure playing with Jon this season, he is a good guy with a lovely young family and a true professional. I will be sad to see him go, but wish him well at his new club where Im sure hell be a success.

He's a class act is our Paul. The remainder of the blog equally full of the feel good factor.

Including "I was lucky enough to have a ticket for the Bahrain game and I can honestly say that I have never been to a match with a better atmosphere, the final result helped as well. It is a massive achievement to qualify for the World Cup, many world class players never get the chance, George Best and Ryan Giggs to name two. The boys have earned it and so far have ripped up the form book with two outstanding performances. To hold the world champions on the biggest stage is phenomenal."

Lot's of nice things about the other lads leaving the Nix as well.

Top guy.

I know, I know, its serious!

Just looking at Ifill's career stats and (probably already been mentioned last season) his 12 goals for the Nix (2009-10) beats his previous record of 11 for Millwall in 1999-2000, ten years ago.

Watching hos appearance on Fox, if Paul retires here it would be fantastic to have him on the commentary / build-up team.
