Ticketek Security have been told to watch out for this man, seen loitering near Ticketek offices and harassing young, blonde Danish tourists trying to buy tickets to the Tom Jones concert.

Has the Minister been advised on the PAX pandemic yet and what is the efficacy of Tamiflu against this global threat?

Lowy and Bin Hammam meeting today. Do they follow YF twitter?
LOL I "called" the 25,000 sneakily on Facebook and Twitter to ham it up (well maybe I was just extrapolating from last night's official 20,000 figure )

Haha I saw that, but chose not to RT it this time after last nights debacle I'm going to avoid heresy and rely on the gospel of PAX from now on!

Any chance of pulling some strings in the Ministry and fast tracking a PAXcination for this disease?

All this PAX stuff is great for football and the club, the more the merrier and all that. A sell out will certainly make the powers that be sit up and take notice.

But... what is really needed is for this huge interest to be turned into full on - full time dedicated  supporters.

The club should be looking at turning the newbies and irregulars into season ticket holders for next season.
So - hows about a discount for season tickets next year - if you can show a ticket from the Perth or Newcastle game - a $50.00 discount may drag a few more along an a regular basis - the club will make the diff up from sales in the stadium next year.

We must build on the momentum...Imagine 15,000 - 20,000 for every home game next season

Well that was a hilarious read from start to finish, the PAX addiction is spreading and Horus's efforts are a classic.

Keep it up guys, hope you get a sell-out. It's a shame the FFA keeps the proceeds though, and that Sydney isn't showing the same 'fever' for my lads.

(Apologies for no PAX offering)

So, assuming PAX = attendance, this means we've sold more than the total of last week with over a week of sales still to go?

We hit 8,000 today, so at that rate we're done in the weekend.

I remember at the All Whites game that once people realised there were few tickets left there was a mad rush to get the last few.  And a few tears.

PAX has been disproven as an accurate crowd-anticipating measure several times over the course of SFC's 5yr history.

It's a VERY rough guide at best. That's not to say the Nix aren't doing well (I've no doubt it's going immense), but you shouldn't be fooled in to thinking that 24k PAX = 24k sold. That's been disproven many times.

Apparently Adelaide got a pax of over 14k for the game and the attendance was 8k or so.

unfortunately the almighty PAX seems to be finite in nature
only when the great one becomes infinite, can it be given the title god of crowds

What happens when you make two consecutive Ticketek transactions in quick succession? Has anyone ever held a PAX significantly higher than the ground capacity? eg 38,000?

Can you explain how PAX has been disproven in the past?

I'm just curious.

Aight, so that either means the lowest number isn't #1, or there's a ratio of tickets per number of pax.

Theoretically 14k PAX: 8k tickets means they start at 6k (then we're at 19k) or its 1.75:1 ratio, (then we're on 14k).

Unless it's something stats can't be used to explain (like 99% of systems humans make up).

Sydney FC have had high Pax numbers before and got lower crowds. at times quite significantly if my memory serves me right.
I don't know the numbers but its proven.

I also made reference to the Adelaide game last night where their PAX numbers were over 14k and the attendance was 8K.

Yeah, but I think (could fully be wrong here) that this generally happens when people with tickets don't turn up. i.e. members / season passes / weather is crap.
Members have to actually buy tickets for these games, so won't be counted on the pax unless they've actually forked out some dosh, and I don't think there'll be too many not bothering to show up, because of weather / can't be bothered etc.

Does Adelaide use the same Ticketek ticketing system?

I got 10 tickets are they were consecutively numbered - are ALL groups of tickets that people purchase sequentially numbered within that pool of tickets?

All the heretics in the land must be exterminated, and their properties confiscated, and the nation must be purged from heresy; then, and only then, will PAX believers consider themselves fully and unconditionally emancipated.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

This consecutive numbers thing suggests that the lowest number is different, and/or they included members/comps who didn't go (not a problem in our case). Or something else.

Oh man, that's like telling someone the cocaine they just bought has been cut with baking soda or something.

I don't believe it. This PAX we're getting over here is some quality PAX. You must be just getting some weak sh*t PAX over there in Sydney.

PAX records allocated ticket numbers which may NOT be the same as actual attendance on the night. But as pointed out by others, a mid-season league game ain't the same as a semi-final.
