They've got the biggest game in Wellington history, with a f**king exciting Wellington team and they're obsessed with a minor invoice number on a ticket.

What about Bertos v Elrich? Ifill v whoever the f**k is on Newies left side?

Will Newcastle have an attacker who can get past Durrante and Sigmund?

Can McKain improve on a steller season?

Why has Reddy started kicking again?

Will Kennedy have another huge game?

Nah, let's crap on about minor invoice numbers.

When did football become about ticket sales and stop being about football?

If we can save another team from the pax bullsh*t we waste time and energy on then I reckon that's a good thing.

It's official - rate of PAX significantly slower than yesterday.

Total PAX growth yesterday = 6,827. 4,957 (72%) of this growth was by 2:20pm yesterday.

Total PAX growth by 2:20pm today = 2,315. Therefore forecasting total PAX growth today of 3,307, roughly half of yesterday (taking end of day total to approx 28,000).

Even at today's slower rate, however, sell-out still predicted by end of the day tomorrow(assuming approx. 3,000 members seats not available for sale).

Daily sales could actually drop as low as 1,000 per day now and it should still be a sell-out by Tuesday/Wednesday.

Perhaps SFCU Hillbilly has had a humourectomy?  I think it is quite common in Straya.  They of the refined vowels and the empty seats.

DKP is paid to update PAX.

Hilly is mostly harmless, people are free to be non-believers of Pax.  He is at least a believer in the Phoenix and that is MUCH more important.

We're hyped about the game, and the subsequent interest finally in football in NZ,as shown by the PAX number. Theyre just used to having 20k every week,it really is a massive thing for us to be getting the turnout that we are,and the publicity and the interest. Thats what he doesnt understand.

I do have a job, buying tickets for my boss, .   Then had to buy one more for my workmates friend in the same area.  I'd do anything for PAX.

When I spotted this van on the River Road in January, it had a driver and one PAX in it. I have been trying ever since to find an excuse for posting it. This thread is it!!!  Sorry the words THE PHOENIX are a little PAXellated.

BIG-MATCH TICKETS IN HOT DEMAND

Wellington

WELLINGTON Phoenix FCs elimination semifinal against the Newcastle Jets at Westpac Stadium on Sunday, March 7, is proving the hottest ticket in town, with less than 5000 seats left for the big match.

The 34,500-capacity Westpac Stadium is expected to be sold out and Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata is urging fans to secure their tickets quickly.

Were already close to capacity at Westpac Stadium after just five days of ticket sales. The game is certain to be a sell-out and the remaining tickets wont last long.

I rang them to send a search party but they just laughed at me!

They said:

"yeah... well we willl *chuckle* call you if we find it *chuckle*"

But why are you kicking a ball that Ricki signed?! I suppose if it was before the 1st AW qualifying its OK. Not so well known then..

wilso: What's on the menu this evening, Sir?
PAXThread: Your favorite dish.
wilso: Excellent.
PAXThread: Your usual table, Sir.
wilso: Oh, why thank you.
PAXThread: Would Sir care to pay for his bill in advance?
wilso: No. Stick it on my tab.
PAXThread: Ah, regret to inform, sir, credit limit was reached and breached quite some time ago.
wilso: Oh, well in that case...
[hands him some cash]
PAXThread: Ah, hard currency. Thank you, Sir. Can't be too careful these days. Would Sir care for a starter of some garlic bread perhaps?
wilso: No, thank you. I will proceed directly to the intravenous injection of hard PAX, please.
