From the Sydney forum - PAX 9211 approx midday today.
 
Weak pax. Some of them are very worried about the numbers for this game. Predictions of less than 20,000 turning up. Nix supporters should be able to make an impression if that's the case.

Was at Ticketek MFC at lunchtime .. buying something else sadly .. they said they had only sold a few tkts for Syd game (5??) pehraps most are getting them from ticketek.com.au???

not sure if this has been mentioned but in only about 18 days this is already the third most commented thread in the nix forum only 100 behind the league table thread and about 6 and a half thousand behind the transfer speculation thread. Well played. And no becuase i'm a poor student I don't have a pax for you.

Latest Sydney PAX = 10,377 @ 10am (their time) this morning.
 
This is very poor PAX for them.

Sydney lunchtime PAX = 10,462.
 
They are crawling along at a snail's pace and starting to get worried in the forum. Quotes from actual Smurfs:
 
"Looks like a small crowd for the game unfortunately"
 
"Also this time last week, PAX was nudging the 17,000 mark... "
 
"I doubt we will break 20K this week"

Great news....the smaller the crowd, the less intimidating the atmosphere for the Nix.
 
If Sydney have to play infront of a small crowd then they will not get the lift they might have expected. This is all playing out in our favour. Syd and Melb have been bashing away at each other for weeks. They may struggle to get up for this one....
 
I have a good feeling about this one. If the Nix play to absolute 100% of their potential then they can win it.

At 2pm their time PAX = 10,565.
 
Incredibly they have sold only around 500 tickets so far today and about 1,400 since midday yesterday.
 
Arrogance? Apathy? I can't decide. Either way they deserve to be soundly punished.

We did steal it from them obviously.
 
That said, our PAX is higher in both quantity (recently) and quality. The only thing that may save them total embarassment on Saturday is that apparently their PAX is a bit dodgy as a crowd prediction mechanism.

Actually Horus will be down at the Four Kings Sat Night!!! Saw the lads of at the airport though, just had 2!!!!! have to work Saturday so couldn't make the trip and I'm on thin ice with all the sickies etc

Sounds like it could be a small crowd in Sydney.  Someone posted a PAX of 11,177 a couple of hours back on the Sydney site.
 
I guess that's what happens when you take games to these small towns.

So they sold around 1,000 tickets yesterday and about the same today. Pathetic.

I'm off over to Sydney tomorrow morning and made sure I packed Strepsils for my store throat come Sunday. :)

Here's hoping loads of Sydney based kiwis come to the game to help us make some decent noise..
