Can anyone remember back to when a goal keeping coach was a worthy profession or even a profession fullstop?

It seems to me that Goalkeeping coaches are a more modern invention and my previous post was a question not a statement... I dont remember when I used to play (and at a very level) that we had goalkeeping coaches, conditioning coaches or any other named coaches...just generic coaches

right...still not quite what your point is.  That teams don't need a GK coach?

because I'd argue very strongly that they do.  And not just at professional level.  At all levels.

Im not really sure that I was trying to make a point as initially as I said it was a question not a statement as I didnt know when goal keeping coaches first came to the fore as in my youth if theyb were around they were few and far between
