Let's give Perth a rough time on Friday. Sing you heart out for the lads.

"Daniel's here, Daniel's there, Daniel's every bloody where, nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, nah nah"

you never beat the phoenix, you never beat the phoenix...

I'm off to Elland Road tonight, so I'll let you know if they have any decent chants that we can pilfer.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

It's all good having the fans fire up, lets just hope the players fire up as well and start finishing off some more of the chances that are created. Our build up play is fantastic at times, lets just hope our finishing can match it.

I am amped for this Friday nights game, just watching my third replay of the Adelaide game and feel we are close to clicking again and finishing someone off !

I'm just stoked its Perth on Friday night and we've beaten them twice, put four past them last time they came to the Ring of Fire, we're worthy of a much higher place than the bottom and that hopefully with the new support that will return to hear us sing we'll hit 5 in our display of the season.

It's coming, its long overdue and I'm the optimist.....ALWAYS!

Oh Phoe-nix we love you!

Bout time we got our shirts off again....anyone agree?

Yeh, be great to have more chants for individual players - that's a good un

missing my wife's work do for the game (normally a good do, but no contest!! might be facing a domestic banstick - c'est la vie)

I'll be with you guys in spirit. Have one at the BB for me.
Love the Daniel chant. Those ones for individ players are inspirational. I remember players being visably lifted when the Bloc 5 boys sang those sort of chants. Give it heaps on Friday YF!!!

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Corporate Box sucks.  Wasn't going to go to Perth for domestic harmony reasons, was planning to do Queensland instead.  But the school has rather thoughtlessly (and carelessly) scheduled a picnic/carols evening on the 14th which I am expected to attend (something to do with the three of my kids who are at school being involved in various numbers).  Accordingly I'm off to Perth.  Could only get one of my regulars to attend so it's my two girls to make up a family pass.  They know the basic chants so should be interesting.

Hey guys,
Me and 2 of my mates are tripping down from NP on friday for the game. We want to stand with the yellow fever lads and make some noise!! haha
I was down for the adelaide and becks games.
We were robbed against adelaide by the ref "referee's a w*nk*r!"
Anywho, how would we go about getting tickets into yellow fever zone??

Hopefully ill have my voice back by friday!! haha

Last weekend was great. Friday night was the best yet on and off the pitch despite the result. We are making huge strides.

Never mind the usual 'all blacks/black caps/silver fern/kiwis  only support you when you win' doom and gloom t**sers. I'm a bloody pom and I support the kiwi teams better than those 'How dare you let us down' pricks

Only hope we can win to shut up the likes of Deaker, Veitch, Telfer etc who love to laugh at failure and are waiting for us to fail so they can say 'we told you so, it's the kings all over again'.

WE WON'T LET IT HAPPEN!

Can't wait for Friday. Gonna give it large.

The toon and the phoenix keep loosing but you know what? I LOVE 'EM ANYWAY!

Let's make this the best atmosphere so far!

Howay the Lads!

agreed Baldy, and i reckon we are well overdue for a win based on our ability to move the ball around, just that final ball and more players making intelligent runs into the box

regarding Vietch, i was trying to start a "Vietchy is a weasel" chant in aisle 23 when he came out at the end of the game but (surprise, surprise) it never took off

his whole attitude re football stinks

Bound by my desire, I fell in to a ring of fire.

Due to some rather evil (in my eyes) circumstances this may be my last Nix home game for a year, I'm gonna be singing my heart out to spur on the boys; I want to be sent off happy.

Hope our chanting is co-ordinated this time, I'm fairly sure it lost all effect last weekend with 3 different chants going on in small groups at once.

You can either go on www.ticketek.co.nz and then select Yellow Fever tickets on there, and you can print your ticket from there which is pretty handy, or go to a Ticketek agency in town.

I'm not sure if you can choose your arena when you get it from the stadium.

Spot on- definitely pay to get them before the match- highly doubt you will be able to get tix at the match for the zone. Sort it before hand for sure- the stewards are anal.

'The stewards are all pricks! The stewards are all pricks!' Apart from Steven Segal- we got a wave out of him, YEAH WE DID!

The Stewards are anal......how dare they try and get people sitting in the right place??????? I mean what are they thinking? Maybe just maybe the stewards are doing what they are meant to be doing..be that stopping alcohol etc into the stadium, stopping some d&%k throwing a bottle that hits someone else, stopping more d%$ks from fighting in the aisle...but hey maybe thats what some of the people come to the stadium for......

If I have a seat on row g seat 5, i expect to sit in it..and i expect a steward to remove someone who is in my seat as well......maybe I am wrong here but its my view as a newbie anyway.....

I have not been a fan of football until this year and have now attended 4 Phoenix games...may i say that the Fever, on the whole, are the best group of supporters i have seen...so vocal, so much fun...keep it up guys and gals   but less bottle throwing please.......see you all on Friday

What are we up for on Friday night then? I'll be holding my breath until about 5 minutes after the final whistle blows, just to make sure Perth can't steal the game that late.

How many times do we need to leave the ground absolutely gutted this season?????  Let's hope for better things on Friday. We must be due a post-match beer that tastes of victory.

Major news: Dairyflat, Bill and Dairyflat's parents....Yep, (the "older ones") are moving closer to the fever zone for the Perth match.. We'll be in Aisle 23. Look out for an elderly guy in an old red/black swandri jacket..
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Definitely looking forward to this Friday. Have to put in more of an effort, walked out a bit disappointed on Saturday night after the Beckham game, anyone else? not our fault, just we were all split up in the fever section and was hard to get things going chant wise due to the sales in the fever section to families and that (which is fine) but kind of ruined our chanting. Looking forward to a rowdy, loud, non-stop effort on Friday night. Will also be interesting to see how many new fans we've picked up from the Beckham game/hype, see if people have been bitten by the bug like we all have.

I've got 10 tickets, including 5 first-timers. The very helpful guy at Ticketek (on the phone) couldn't give me tickets in 19, so I'm in 20 EE/FF. Sounds like it could be a decent crowd this time again.

Anyone know if any Perth fans are going to be there? It will be fun at the BackBencher before it they are.

Currently I am at Sydney International Airport where a flight delay is currently hampering my flight. But I am the only Glory fan I know of going.

Easy to get to the backbenchers?

The Backbencher is fairly easy to get to. Someone will post the big green arrow...

If this is the second, what's the longest trip in Australian football?
Permalink Permalink

No, it's the second longest domestic trip in WORLD football. The longest is between two clubs in something like Vladivostock and St Petersburg.

I've tried to get

"Ross Aloisi, we've got the right Aloisi.... right Aloisiiiiii, we've got the right Aloisi"
going to the tune of "Guantanamera"

I know Hard News has tried in vain as well as the other 3 of us in Aisle 21.

Aloisi lifts the team, so if we can help lift him it should spin off.

Bunny St is close to the Backbencher, so you shouldn't have any trouble.

Fortitous location, hopefully Perth will be our bunnies again!
