Hard to say. The sun yesterday and the wind today would have  helped it dry out a lot.  But rain overnight wouldn't have helped

good god it was cold down there. enjoyed the save of the pen in the olympic game but good to see our combinations developing. especially durante and mckain. i have a concern about leilei going missing for periods of time, thought especially in the first half he drifted in and out of it a bit

Great afternoon at Newtown #2 - a fantastic save by 2nd Best to deny Covs a 1 on 1 in the first half......one to tell the grandkids.....

Phoenix looking fluid at times with Gao, Bertos and Daniel all having roving roles - thought Siggy had a good game, liking every minute of Durrante and McKain together and enjoyed seeing Jeremy Christie have a top game too. 

Good to see Kwas get some minutes and to hammer the rebound to score in his first game.

Bring on Sunday the 20th....I'm gaggin' for it!!!!

McKain looks a really good player. Daniel was all class and leilei had his moments. Without Smeltz though we will struggle, covs misses too many chances for my liking even though today he had an outstanding keeper to beat. But the Nix knock the ball around at pace, their control is immaculate and movement off the ball excellent. They look a million miles ahead of last year already. And it was a real pleasure to see top class players close up doing their business.

how good was Daneil's ball cross field to lei lei which set up the 3rd goal for Leo

very memorable (especially so, for the opposing keeper, i guess) - got the adrenaline flowing i imagine? ,

It was ridiculous considering the wind that was blowing.  Feel sorry for Paston though.  Someone should have sent a deck chair down there for him.

I liked the formation with Leo, B, Lei Lei and Daniel behind Covs. Looked like it created a lot of space out wide.

2ndbest had about as much chance of saving that shot as rightstr would have had of scoring at the other end lol

All I saw was something moving rather rapidly next I saw a ball lying in the goal. I just assumed the two were the same thing. But my favourite goal was the 1st one by McKain from that cross. A free header sure but the ball was swirling and moving and he still got a heap of power and direction on it.
