Pantellis wasn't on the list. Not sure if Lindsay was either.

Every nix player is listed.  The player of the season, which was on the Nix website, who people can vote for each week had a few names missing

siggy hands down for me. apart from the penalty he gave away that one time, he's been incredible and incredibly consistent for the whole season

Dura, Manny, Ifill.

Siggy is a good defender but woeful playing out from the back, a real sticking point for me I'm afraid.

Refresh my memory, when did Siggy give away a penalty.  I think we've only given away one this season and that was Vinnie Lia.  I remember Siggy giving one away when the All Whites played Australia last year though

Round 4 against Melbourne Victory. Was last player and denied a clear goal scoring oppourtunity, so got sent off and gave away a penalty which Hernandez calmly slotted, causing us to lose 2-1.

Really not sure why Ifill rates so highly.Yep has done okay but has also been very quiet in many games and hasnt had the influence on games that some think he has.
Siggy for me follwed by Durante and purely for the whole hearted effort he plays with Greenacre.Just a shame some of our so called better players cant show the same heart that he does EVERY game.

Manny gets 3 just for his last-minute flights to play when his baby was due.

i thought the same thing when i was pondering my choices, but if you ask the question how many points would we have got without him the answer is a sh*tload less than what we got

And you can't argue that someone else in his place would've bought the same goals/assists and general pants-sh*tting of the opposition, his un-predictability and sweet eye for a pass are un-matched by any in our squad, and almost any in the league - maybe broich but struggle to think of any others

Hell even when he has nothing to do with a goal it's often because the other team are concentrating so much on him that brownie etc go un-marked to score - not that that is a reason to get the award of course, but just sayingpaulm2012-04-07 10:09:14
