Welnix should put Blew.2 in charge of marketing. He knows what people want, it's not bouncy castles or attacking football. Free sausages at Phoenix games will pack in the punters!

Geez, considering how team Wellington has been traveling that's not a good reflection on the youth set up. Were the youngsters playing total football or something?

Sausages were awesome. TeeDubs ressies are better than the TeeDubs starting line-up (a few of them were playing for Phoenix A and were absolutely honking).

I thought there was a Goodish attendance this evening. Why no charge at the gate? Could have make a couple of bucks at $5 a ticket.

Those are considered part of the overall pakage.  Like when you buy a mobile phone you get a charger and headphones.

Academy side looked disorganised....its like they were just thrown together the day of the game. Not sure what their game plan was. Solomons and Boxall looked solid-ish. Cam Lyndsay moves well and had his moments(good and bad) Front guys for the Academy could'nt control the ball. TW played a very effective style, Chettleburg had a great game. They passed and move really well...caused the Academy side all sorts of problems with their pressing....could have been 6-0. The Academy side look liked the senior Nix side. Struggled to pass it out from defense to attack..ending up hoofing it quite a bit....sigh!

Good to see Greenacre get last 20 mins...(a secret sub for the weekend perhaps....arf!)

Sausages were great.....who ate the leftovers coz there was a huge pile of cooked ones at full time?

Chettleburg was the midfielder who trialled for us but we didn't sign a few seasons back? He looked ok in the trials for sure...

yeah, trialled at the start of last season. While the Terry shit was going down, so that may have had something to do with it.

We signed Lindsay from the UK instead. Ifill was quoted as rating Chettleburg, wondering why he didn't get selected to the NZ age group team that was heading to the World Cup around the same time. Think he then went over to Europe for a bit, playing at amateur levels.

Maybe Rickie thought he was too small for an A-League midfielder.....he certainly looked the goods last night...totally outplayed Biss. Very creative and "buzzy" sort of high workrate player. Looked OK for TW against Otago too! but I guess if the club has had a good look at him and decided no then thats that.

I have it from 2 very good sources whom were well connected with that team that he poisoned the environment so they ditched him. The word used was 'poisoned'.

that kinda sucks cos he looked like a good player. Watched him play against Waitak think it was...or was it the AWs? can't remember

surely that's up to a good manager to sort out?

who would be a better signing Chettleburg or Clapham? Seemed like Chettleburg could play centrally in a midfield.
