Just a thought as it was mentioned in another thread:
How likely or unlikely is it that the Nix will start an academy in the forseeable future? If likely then when? What would need to happen first (10 year A-League license I presume being one)?
Thoughts?

It would need a reserve side in whichever format. Plans when the reserve side was mooted were for an 8 man acandemy in conjuntion with a school.

They were also aligned with Whitireia Polytechnic in Porirua (whom which the quals came from). I remember it being fairly successful at one stage where Wests had alot of players from all over the country playing for them, who were based at Ole. But then something happened and it was no more.

I pass it on the way to work, the signs are up but I never see very much going on there, so Ole is totally finished then?

I know a few boys who went to their trials and spoke very highly of it. These are boys who didn't get selected in the end so have no vested interest.
Be interesting to see if they last the distance or not.
It all helps.
