Walking down the concourse yesterday and hearing Phoenix City
playing was superb.
And hearing it again immediately before kick-off was even better. Nice to see a good few Feverites having a skank too. Let's hope people take the song to their hearts and it becomes part of the Phoenix culture.
We might not be able to hold onto a lead but we are now without doubt the coolest team in the A-League.
Thanks to everyone who pushed for this to happen in other threads. Thanks also to Tony P and the rest of the Phoenix management team for being prepared to listen to the fans and try something that probably wasn't in the marketing plan at the start of the season!
As I write this on a sunny Sunday morning one of my neighbours is blasting out a selection of sweet 70's reggae - it just doesn't get any better.
R.I.P. Roland Alphonso (1931 - 1998, the composer) and Judge Dread (1945 - 1998, the performer of the version the Phoenix are using) - they will both be up there loving all this!

Aw, Feverish, I thought I'd got away with that!
He was a mate from Auckland, down for his first game.
He always dresses like that, with his hair slicked back too.
I've only seen him in shorts and a t-shirt once before.
He took it well really, I forgot to mention the beer showers in the Fever Zone beforehand - whoops!
