Im sure this has been floated around before but wouldnt it be a decent idea to hold a curtain raiser match for every other home game? ie. Team Wellington or a Capital age group side of some description... theyve had Chatham Cup prior to a Knights game before at North Harbour which was rad as hell
Are there any reasons why this CANT happen at ROF?

Yes. Cost and timing.
They tried to get the TeeDubs vs Phoenix 'A' game as a curtain raiser but the cost of adding two hours to the stadium use time was more than the club could justify, plus it has to be over way before the real game according to FFA rules whcih leaves people watching both with nothing to do for over an hour.

That sucks. Wasnt there a double header at the SFS a few weeks back, one game immediately after the other? Would be nice to see it happen sometime in the future though, who knows

Two A-League games would be different though as there would be no sponsor clashes or anything like that.
...and it's the FFA who love changing a rule to support their own ends.

Do they come under the Land Management Transport Act 2008?
I suggest we all read this up.

Agreed. Even getting some of the juniors playing would be worth while, give them a taste of ROF goodness.
For sake of time we could get a full sized pitch built underneath the stadium for teams to warm up in?

curtain raisers - sounds like rugby bollocks to me
it just dilutes the experience
if you watch one game with a decent amount of engagement you don't need (can't process) another game for a while
a completely fine idea for something like rugby but stupid for football

just a spot of sporting bigotry to while away a few minutes of a friday evening
that and the fact that the way the two sports appear to be 'watched' requires a different level of intensity

thats your fault and nobody elses
the idea came to me when my mate (who coaches federation girls football) told me about a capital vs. central game being played in a couple of weeks at the turf, which will have all of about 20 spectators in attendance. just thought something like this couldve been something that could happen before Nix matches.
