Management seemed resigned to having no international windows in next season's draw, which I was quite disappointed to hear.

The club were pleased with how Nixie went. Apparently it's the same guy in the costume all the time.

Also someone asked if Merrick would have wannabees playing in a trial game. Merrick was against the idea.

Ernie Merrick was very friendly in person, I had a chat with him.

yep, attended and was impressed with Kyla (thundersticks) - whilst her football knowledge is low she is keen to hear what we had to say. The club is still really money foccussed which concerns me a bit. We discussed all kinds of things from the lack of decent marketing and low arwareness of the nix in the off season....targetting wellington population was key. Also went around the issues, ie stadium food, costs etc, doesn't sound like there is much the nix can do to change this, same for the sceduling we are hamstrung by Fox and the FFA. My biggest worry is that the club/owners still don't see the benefit of a marquee type player to add to the crowd size, they are still using the line that we won't buy championshipps - to which I said that's not the point, Del Pierro has added at least 5k fans for sydney. We get someone of that ilk and hopefully they keep coming back.

Too much else discussed to post but overall pretty good, more to occur in the same manner which is pleasing.
