me and a few mates of mine want to start a fans club to go to the
home games. We are well keen to make/steal chants and have a good
time.
we just want to know if any one would be interested, we want a good solid number of 150-250+ for some good volume.

Why not just get on board with what's happening here. Yellow
Fever is the Phoenix Fan club after all. That way we won't end up
with the classsic NZ situation of a whole bunch of small pockets of
fans doing their own thing.

Indeed - knowing the boys at Yellow Fever, there will be plenty of opportunity to join in with random chants, massive celebrations and lots of presence in the stands...
Stick by the YF team and you can't go wrong!

How many of the Newcastle faithful are over 18 though?
It's like a game of Where's Wally.Once you get the numbers, maybe you'll be able to create a great MVFC-type atmosphere where 2 big fan bases at opposite ends (1 huge and 1 not so huge) shout out chants to each other.

ok people, we must remember that the odds will be stacked against
us from day one. Firstly, we are a NZ team in an ausy league and
2nd, footy is not NZs no1 game its the 5th. Just look at the
wariors and how they always get players banned before big games
ext..
so what needs to happen is we (ALL FANS) must be in the same part of the stadium ie a radius of 5000 (being realistic) seats and the cameras must only point at this 5000 seat area because the stadium 1/8 full with fans spread out looks ridiculus. If we look like a pumping crowd with chanting and general yahooing then more people will see on TV and think to come along for a game eventually more fans will turn up to games.
I'm real keen for the chanting and yahooing, its very important for the atmosphere. I went to a football game in Greece (PAO vs PAOK) and i tell you nothing beats 30,000 people chanting and screaming GOOOOOOOOAAAL!!!!!
The PAO fans club GATE13 is amazing i want this to be just like that.
so when the fans club gets underway then well aim for 250+ people chanting in time will be awsome for THIS team, some one said the site altready has 600 members thats a good start.

I'll just chant from the roof of my apartment - hopefully you hear
me (and the old lady next door doesn't set her cats on me).
Can someone call me beforehand and give me the chant setlist?

I agree; power in numbers. Yellow Fever is a truly fantastic
concept and it mustn't stop at computer forums. We need to make
ourselves seen and, more importantly, heard. Organised fan
collaboration is the direction to go if we want a more European
atmosphere at football games in the Capital. The potential for it
is huge and the boost it will give the Phoenix both on and off the
field is immense.
C'mon Phoenix!

.. and there's always the power of the cellphone to arrange mass random meetings around the City to raise the YF profile
......just a thought

Me and my mate are looking to get season tickets and attend the
home games and get involved in a bit of terrace chanting.I don't
know how the seats will be allocated but it seems to make sense to
group together, being spread out looks awful for the cameras and
destroys any atmosphere. I am used to going to games in Glasgow and
Swansea and miss the crack and the amusing chanting banter!
I will volunteer to join the yellow ultras!
We ara peeple!!!

Chaps, Stadium seating etc... has already been discussed here:

Feel free to add your feedback on that post. It'd be good if
we could keep all the like discussions in the same threads. Really
helps for organising ourselves. :)

150-250+ people... i really hope you can manage it because it would
create a great atmosphere, but i'd put my money on 20-30. 95% of
Kiwis dont get in to it, but good luck anyway, im coming down with
a few lads for a game late in the season so if its taking off then
it should be awesome.
