Phoenix fluke win - Gold Coast match
Even our pants are better than theirs.
Also, if you have any ideas for chants against Judas and the rest, post them in the chant thread:

Manny Siggy Dura (NotLachy)
Brown
Bertos Daniel
Ifill
Greenacre Chen/Costa
3 upfront... brilliant. Ifill going wherever the f**k he wants. Would only work if when Ifill goes out to the wing, the winger in question moves into the center and opens the park.Michael2009-10-19 20:07:22
Manny Siggy Dura
Brown Lia
Bertos Ifill
Greenacre Jackie Chen
Bench: Daniel, Rojas, Defensive cover, Crowther
I think we need to shift to more attacking up from, Ifill looks to be better suited to wing, and feeding the ball, with Bertos (who's free kicks are becoming VERY predictable unfortunately)
I think it's the time to let the hunger of of young guys like Chen and Rojas build the spirit of the team on the park. Will keep the likes of Smeltz on his toes too, as he won't be able to pass on the 'playing style' tips to the coaching staff of the new boys.
Do i dare ask how you know so much about his balls? goldienz2009-10-19 20:45:34
Our back 4 have it sussed, so it's in front of them that needs something a little different to maybe find that last spark that's needed.
Paston
Siggy Dura
Manny Lochy
Lia
Brown
Ifill Bertos
Chen Acres of space.

Rojas

Lia to play a sweeper kinda role, but for Manny and Lochy to be on the move with lots of space for an almost 4 upfont way.
isolate Culina and he will get the sh*ts, if you cut off Culina you cut off Smeltz so just have to hope Lochy can control Porter.
Their back 4 are still a little fragile so we have to attack no doubt. Time to get out of the trenches and throw caution to the wind.
Do i dare ask how you know so much about his balls?
I've been observing the entire teams', and that is my conclusion Michael2009-10-19 21:29:02
No.
Whitby, last week reports said he was chance to be available nothing definite yet.
Are we allowed to bring in beach balls to RoF? (they'll need to have GCU written on them)

Ifill needs to stay central, to provide more target for our midfield and for short layoffs to greeny. Caceres on the wing if fit. McKain on Bench.
Otherwise if Ricki doesnt want to play 442, he will play 4213 so i would go with:
1
2 5 22 3
6 17
14
7 9 8
Just make sure Caceres does stay central, I think he could do that job, because evertime we play this setup, we have Bertos or Daniel behind the strikers and they naturally shift wide, so if Caceres can do this, we may have solved our problem

go on News let yourself go, it's more fun for the rest of us.
Do u still subscribe to it's just bad luck, it'll come right, now we are down the track and have just the ten goals in ten matches?
Not even the slightest concern that the attack might continue scoring at about the one goal per game rate and that it won't be enough?
Not baiting you, would be interested in how you see it a few more games down the track and (in my view) with no significant improvement at the striking end.
Getting very frustrating as we aren't where we could/should be in the league. We are looking easily as good as anybody when it comes to possession / territory and ability to 'control' a game (well, except maybe when we're winning!). We've not really created anything through the middle of the park this season. We look about the strongest in the league attacking on the wings, but haven't made it come to enough. We seem to almost be waiting for them to stuff up off our crosses at times (which often does happen in this league). Actually one thing that might be stopping us from really exploding (in a good way with lots of goals) is a lack of real pace. That cancels out a lot of attacking possibilities for us in the final third.
Agreed. I think we've been mostly good - certainly not any worse than other A-League teams - except the game against Newcastle and the last game against Fury - gotta say though, if we don't put on a performance this weekend the faith will be slightly 'dimmed'..
