It would be great to get back down there next year! At least for a preseason game.

AMI Stadium that was Lancaster Park had two regular season games.

AMI Stadium that was Rugby League Park had two regular season and one preseason game

QEII had one preseason game  

Last game down in Christchurch was the 3-1 loss to CCM in the 2014-15 season

Remember siggys last minute goal at Lancaster Park? The crowd went wild alright. Hometown boy scorers a winner in the last minute virtually.

The crowd, including me, went wild and the earth shook at that time too.

The match was between the September 2010 and Feb 2011 quakes and we were still getting aftershocks from the initial September earthquake.

It was the first sports event in the newly renovated stadium with a new stand opened. 

Hence the really large crowd. 

And sadly it turned out to be one of the last sports events ever held there....

I was lucky enough to be sitting almost exactly in line with the Adelaide goalposts, and seeing Siggy's header. 

One of my best Nix memories ever.

You must've been sitting near me and my sister and  nephew.

That explains the level of noise then :-)

Yeah, she nearly got kicked out by some 16 year old member of Red Badge for being loud. FDA.
