..wait till the game please.

And have a think about it - voting for 75th minute substitutes like some of you have is a bit of a joke

What if the 75th minute substitute scores a hat trick?

I shouldn't have said that. He's now got four votes. And unless the live summaries are lying (I couldn't make it to the game) he's not even on the field - his bench performance must be outstanding!

Moss played very well, his positioning and calm head kept us in the game.

The big let down for us was not being able to pull the trigger when we we in and around of the box.

Jeremy Christie.

Felipe was again impressive though and I think theres more to see from George.

Man how exciting is Felipe and you are right I think George could be the sleeper in the team - he had some nice touches late in the game.

Also the live atmosphere at the game was MASSIVE! You'd never get this at Rugby!

Didn't see the game but watched Felipe in Sydney and saw plenty of class.

A great buy and a sensational player made Sydney look ordinary but not that hard at the moment.

thought Christie was strong put some good crosses in but Felipe is pure class

I voted for Daniel because he was also classy, consistent and happy to look to set up others. He also didn't dive once from what I saw.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

No-one who played in the first half earned my vote.  Only Moss, Dodd and O'Dior did enough to keep us in the game.

George gets the vote because he hit the ground running, although Felipe was marked very tight.

Thought Felipe and Daniel were both class acts - and would have voted for both of them if I were able to vote twice.  George came on and did more in 10 minutes than Coveny has done so far this season - I told you guys, get him in a match situation and he's a different player.  The last few minutes, including the equaliser showed the true value of having two strikers - George hassling the keeper, forcing the error which let the ball through to Smeltz for the goal.  Best of all, didn't the little fella look over-the-moon just to be on the pitch.

So happy for my Brasilian boys!  Felipe, Daniel, George and I thought Cassio and Diego looked tidy as well!  Still no sign of Cleberson coming back - going to be hard for him to get in as well, despite conceding the two goals the back four was never over-run tonight.

Ive just watched a replay and I blame him for the 1st goal. I really hate doing that because he did plently of good stuff but when you come for the ball youve gotta get it.

Agree with you on 2 strikers i thought Smeltz looked better when he had some help upfront. However cant agree about Daniel, yes he does have some great touches but i think his delivery of the ball could do with some work he has a lot of his crosses blocked early. Also like the look of George in his short time on.Lets hope we get 2 upfront next week and we make the running from the front for a change.

Someone should tell Bajic that

Dodd, had sh*t kicked out of him all day and got nothing form that dirty cheat in the Flouro shirt, but broke up all sorts of things.  Superb.

I thought Daniel was crap today.
No good touches, yet again fell over at the slightest touch!

Get up, you wuss!

Drop him next week ...

Felipe was class, it was funny how the rest of the team weren't expecting his backheels!
Smeltz was good too. Moss was pretty good.

Smeltz should have been subbed on the hour, gives away far too much ball!! Lochead didnt have his best game of the year, always slows the play down and doesnt ger foward at pace, was indecisive at times also.

Wait...

Please show me Daniel's dives today. I didn't see any - apart from what looked like either a pinched nerve or a dislocated shoulder + a free kick on the edge of the box where he was shoulder charged.

Folks, this thread is about Man of the Match, not who you thought wasn't good enough.  I should come in this thread and be uplifted by what I read.

Please keep that in mind.

I give my vote to Daniel - he played the full 90 minutes, swapped from left to right wing and back again, kept the play wide and generally hustled on field - he did try for a penalty early on, but will hopefully see on the replay this morning if it was a justified shout .....

will watch the replay before i vote, but Moss, Felipe and Dodd contenders. Stop voting for subs you muppets.

It prob should go to those two guys who did the three legged race at half time. They were great. Although the rubbish tall guy dropped the short guy in the wheelbarrow, and someone needs to explain why they got a "Who are ya" from the fever zone!
