Ernie Merrick has been on the BoC many times since taking over the reins at the Wellington Phoenix. But nearly every visit has followed a loss with an explanation required. This time he’s on the show in the midst of a undefeated run and following one of the most impressive performances from the Nix since their inception – a 5-0 drubbing of Melbourne Victory.

Wellington Phoenix coach Ernie Merrick is on the Breakfast of Champions. His Jekyll & Hyde outfit are hanging on to a finals spot inconsistency could kill those chances. In February the Nix beat Adelaide at home, went to Newcastle and won, got pumped 5-0 at home by the Heart, beat Central coast 4-1 over there and then got pumped again as they went down 5-1 to Adelaide. On Sunday they entertain Perth at Wellington

I believe it is actual 23 + 23(NYL) (46) for all A-League teams except Nix's.
