Appiah off with an ankle knock, waibop 1-0 up

And Appiah on crutches

Wee nix up 3-2 with not long left

Jeez, 2 possible first teamers out with what sounds like long term injuries. Bugger, especially for Appiah who just came in.

Appiah was looking quite lively before he got injured. Don't think tracking back and defending is his strong point but he was good on the ball going forward.

Be interested to hear the extent of JBS' injury. He looked in a fairly bad way on Saturday. Injured himself fouling a WaiBOP player, ironically.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

It's just a flesh wound, apparently.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

That'll teach him.

The WeeNix are playing ACFC at Newtown Park today at 2pm, right? And Phoenix season ticket holders get in free, right?

Not a pretty sight getting pumped 7 nil. Crap end to the season

Don't think they had anyone over 20 in that game.

When you field that many players that Dale and I have coached, bad things are bound to happen.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Life Really is crazy, I have just had a call from my mother, My Half Brother Marcel Kampman plays for the Weenix. This is crazy because I have never met my farther (He refused to have anything to do with me when he left my mum before I was born), but more than that seems football runs in the blood that both of us play it (My mums side is rugby mad with an all black in our history) although clearly his blood is more pure than mine cause he plays a bit higher than Manawatu mens 3.

Yeah, I thought it was really odd that there's a level of football higher than Manawatu 3 too ;)

I have no idea how this is still a bug. I've triple checked the code and it should not be fudgeing it up like this. Ffs.

Maybe we need to put someone more qualified into your reporting line Patrick.  Perhaps make you the Assistant to the Assistant to the senior intern.

Geez, are things looking up with the bank account, with Patrick earning carrots?

We now have ASBP contracted players

does anyone know how that works? Does it fall within the Nix's cap or not? Are there any other players who have it and how much is the minimum?

A-League clubs can sign 3 NYL players outside the cap. Think for them its equivalent to the minimum wage, about 40kish.

Given that other clubs have signed players to ACL contracts, I would think that he would be outside the cap. He just wouldn't be able to play A-League at all if that was the case.

So Onehunga Sports is considered a Phoenix feeder club, part of the Wellington Phoenix youth system.

Linked with WYNRS.

Similar to WP academy/WU here?

I suppose all connections with wynrs are now connections with the Phoenix

So if I read that right, Wyners is dead? If so, then its a bit of a shame but I can understand why he may have decided to hang up his boots (so to speak)

MUFC Premier Cup Australasian Finals

The Kindy kids should enter this next year. Emerging Jets are in the finals, other academies and a smattering of clubs. Onehunga and Hamilton Olympic represent.

Oh right, thanks.  I was thinking there were 2 NZ representatives, but rules keep changing. Nix should be able to field a competitive team next year with the growth of the academy.

The guys at the Phoenix Academy based at Scots College must be scratching their heads right now. The Scots College 1st XI, now in the College Football Premier Division, with a number of Phoenix Academy players in the team, got through Pool 1 of the Premier Grading Round in top place with 4 wins from 5 games. Their only loss (0 - 2) being to last year's Premier Champions, Hutt High. However, in the Premier Division, having now played the 3 top teams from Pool 2, all they have for their efforts are 2 Points from a 2 - 2 Draw with Kapiti College and a 1 - 1 Draw with Wellington College. Last week they lost to HIBS 1 - 2.

With Scots College 1st XI (aka Phoenix Academy) being beaten and outplayed by two Hutt Valley based Colleges, maybe the Phoenix Academy need move their base out to the Hutt Valley. LOL!

Wouldn't the Phoenix Academy players who go to Wellington College etc be playing for those colleges in the College Sport competition too though?
