Don't care how old he is. Every time I've seen him, he's impressed me.

Indeed, I'd go so far as to say that should Andrew Durante or Ben Sigmund be sidelined for a spell, this young man is ready to step up to the plate right now.

I think he looks more suited to full back than centre back

Needed work when i watched him for Miramar in winter.  Has looked more solid in the ASB but don't see him as ready for A-League.

Agree with the last 2 points. More a FB and could use a little gym work and a season as a pro training to get a couple of facetes up to speed (ballspeed of pass). I think he shows enough to have a future in the HAL though...

Agree.

Having said that he impressed me greatly at Kiwitea St. He played MUCH better than when I had seen him at DF ans Newtown Park earlier in the season. He's developing. Which is good. And what it is all about.

Watched the highlights Goals around 3min, 3.30mins, 5.05mins and 7mins. Red cards around 14.54mins. Also, there was contact in that head butt, but man was it milked by Rufer!

Chopah was right. It was 5, not 15 responsible for the first goal which is where I was incorrect.

Rufer acted like a right Twit on that incident and it was fine until he came put his 2 cents worth in and then basically got himself headbutted and kicked it off.

Was there actual contact there, looked like Rufer milked it a fair bit.

yes there was contact - it wasn't enough to break Rufers nose or anything but tell me if you got head-butted in a game would you just laugh it off?

Don't think I would laugh it off, but I'd like to think I wouldn't react like I'd been shot either...

There was contact of that there is no doubt but is the reaction of Rufer consistent with the amount/force of contact? He was pushed in the head by Billens head more than headbutted but goes down like he was suckerpunched....

fair enough - I guess I just don't care much what happens after someone pulls out a headbutt (or as JV says a headtap).

FYI - I laughed when reading your post and then seeing your profile gif - very amusing.

Will Bilen get two weeks for violent conduct do you think?  and Doyle?

I love that gif and never get tired of it. Yeah I think the cards have to be upheld, I just am not sure they will be given anymore weeks off.

Does anyone know when they report on them comes out?

Throat grab apparently.

Yeah, didn't look like he did anything different from anyone else in the melee (possibly even less than some). Could have sent off everyone involved if what he did was the guideline for a sending off.

It couldn't have been that bad a "headtap" as Rufer is involved in the melee soon after with no apparent signs of a sore head which is why I was unsure there was even contact.

On a different note, have a look at some of these "fouls/injures": Fallon d'Floor

was he?

from memory watching it live he was down for the entire first brawl because the referee took ages to give cards because he got a physio over to look at rufer and then turned his attention to Bilen and Doyle (at which point Bilen and gulley were at loggerheads)

I have not seen the incident regarding Rufer

If he was head-butted as alleged, and this caused him to fall over "as if shot", and he remained on the ground for some time, in the interests of legitimacy, should he have not been taken from the field for a concussion test?    Or if he got up and played as if nothing had happened, it would show to me that he is a pretty poor actor and should be playing in South America.

Don't piss off old people - the older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent

From my view opposite side from stand it looked more like a touch or press than a butt, i.e Bilen put his head against Rufer with no force. Rufer then milked it.

I believe the reason for Bilen's action was was because Rufer racially sledged him.

That is a pretty big accusation to make without any proof to back yourself up..

Referee and AR were very close to the action so will be interesting what went in to the ref's report about any provocating factors relating to the sending off.

Can anyone tell me who the minute's silence was for before the Team Wellington match?

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
