Morning Guys & Girls,

Hopfully some of you know who Iam. Im Dean the guy who always wears an Arsenal shirt to every home game, and who has always said that im not a supporter of the Phoenix, im a follower!.

Well on Jan 5th, I leave this wonderful city for the steaming metroplois that is Sydney, but im keen to start a supporters club for us supporters of the Mighty Phoenix over there. I havent got to many ideas of what the overseas branch could offer fans, so looking for ideas from others.

I guess from there, we could try and arrange a healthy amount of away supporters to cheer our boys when they go into battle. Maybe even a weblink so we can talk to the Backbencher before home games. There are a few ideas to be getting us started.

There are a number of Phoenix fans in Sydney - they donated the yellow banner with 'Yellow Fever' in black written on it.

Unfortunately my mailbox has been emptied a couple of times - so I don't have the user names any longer.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

I reckon if he got only 10% of Sydeny's kiwis there the 'away' fans would out number the pathetic sydney crowd

Just go down to Bondi and get everyone to follow you to the stadium. Offer fish and chips + beer.

Offer them Lion Red and tell them its the Warriors that are playing.....they'll love it when they're there and will become Nix supporters and come back to future games of their own accord......

You will probably spot a few locals wearing Retro Rickis as James Dean and the rest of the Sydney Away crew decided to give theirs away while celebrating the famous win.
What were they thinking...

Best of luck buddy. Might have to pop by and see how you're doing - I'm originally from Nowra (bit south of Sydney) so might be back next year... in time for a Phoenix away match at the SFS of course  Good on ya for spreading the fever - let's paint Sydney yellow and black!

That really narrows it down You're not the guy who wears the yellow away shirt with Geezer 11 on the back are you?

No Mate, thats Geezer! Im Dean the shaven headed Arsenal fan, normally in one of my home kits, but I do try and rotate them around (like Henry's All Blacks). But if you were in the Back bencher before last weeks home game, I was the guy trying to giv eaway two tickets for the corprate boxes.

Do you have a white away Fabregas shirt? If so, yours is the only other I've seen in Welli.

Yeap, thats me. Ive worn the white shirt to a couple of home games. I like that one more than the other new away shirt con trick that the Arsenal marketing department has pulled on us. But hey when you can get a real shirt off trade me for a quatre of the retial price, then why wouldnt you buy them.

Deang, Will you be at the Sydney game on January 4th? Day before you leave. I have a white Toure 5 shirt but will probably wear my 2002 Double shirt with Dixon 2 on it.

Are all Arsenal fans as rich in wardrobe as you guys?

Yes, Ive got a rero ricky shirt. But dont seem to wear it to the games. But I will be getting one of those flashy tracksuit tops, and maybe even the white training shirt.

I cant and wont change my principals that to wear any other teams shirts would be blasphamy against the team that I will always support (my beloved Arsenal), but Ive really gotten into the Phoenix since its formation, and they will always be my 2nd team from now on.

I wouldn't wear a Phoenix shirt to a Thistle game, so I don't wear a Thistle shirt to Phoenix games. Not knocking anyone's right to wear whatver they like to the 'Nix games tho'. As long as they go the games, doesn't matter to me what people wear.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Could be more Arsenal shirts in attendance than Phoenix shirts.
Only one will have the greatest midfielder on the back though...

I would have bought a Phoenix shirt but the club shop had sold out out my size so one of my 15 Arsenal shirts it is
Besides, its better than wearing a rugby jersey.

Yes, I will be there. I was going to wear the white one, but now im thinking that I will wear my Bergkamp one instead. but who knows, I may change my mind. but then again, as ive packed alot of my things already, this may change.

But hey, as long as were there to watch our mighty Phoenix beating the Sydneysiders, does it really matter what shirt we wear. I can belive that only 8 hours after the game on Friday finishes im on the 1st flight to Sydney.
