First you take away a posting that offers fans a opportunity
to buy official licenced product claiming for it not being in
the best interests of the club, now I see you trying to push your
own unofficial, unlicenced product which is beneficial to the
Phoenix how?
Lets support the club buy buying the official gear I'm not
exactly blown away by your t shirts fair enough for having a
go but like I said sort out your attitude guys it all seems to be
getting a bit dictatorial

Tell you what carb, you pop out and buy whatever merchandise you
can find out there... what's that ? There isn't any for
another 4 months ?

Fair enough and yeah 4 months is a long time it was more the
preachy holier then thou bs which looking at other postings seems
ongoing, that I am getting sick of.
Yellow fever is a good site well laid out but some of the egos
are a bit to big for the world wide web

him on the reasoning.
In light of the official merchandise being tied up, we decided
to get something together, and were ably supported and helped
by a company that has been dedicated to football in Wellington for
a long time.
I think the poll and the amount of emails we have been getting
would suggest that most people like them too (including
Ricki)

To be honest I find this site slightly unfriendly towards
newcomers. Like I have found this site great and I think what you
guys at Yellow Fever have done as bloody brilliant.
But sometimes some of the comments to people opening new
threads are fairly mean and would discourage me from posting that
much.

one person, who started a thread about when tickets are going on
sale, the day after we sent out a newsletter and had a news item

Nice one carb - not. Why don't we all buy official jerseys so
some guy who has contributed 2 fifths of f**k-all to the Phoenix
can make some money in a few months time. At least now we have
something to allow us to show our colours for preseason. I am with
Baiter on this one.
I would rather save money and support YF. If they make money
then good on them, they deserve it for creating a site which would
be a loss to football in NZ if it didn't exist.

The shirts look great-slightly retro with a non fag apperence.
Un like the Sydney FC ones that look like a football supporter
shirt that i would be imbarassed to wear.

i aggree slightly but if we use the profit's to make things
like flags, and development for yellow fever and all that kinda
stuff for the games then i think it should be ok...

Yes and No. YF seems to be helping the club tremendously and there
is no club merchandise to be had at present. And lets face it, the
profits made off the t-shirts are hardly going to make anyone rich!
I'm sure that setting the site up etc. must have cost some $$ too?
Sounds a bit to me like the original shirt guy was only in it
for money too IMHO - although I don't know all the facts
I do agree though that some scarves etc. would be good - it'd
be great to get totally kitted out!

about '82 (I was 8) was after it the queues for registration
down at Island Bay AFC were MASSIVE!!! Anyone else remember a

Yep - sure can. Use the contact form to drop us a line if you want
one - then we'll add you to our pre-order list and drop you a line
when they're ready. We're currently waiting to get some pricing
back for International shipping as well.
Despite what some people think, we're not doing this for the
$$ (if we were, we'd charge $140 a shirt like Reebok do) - it's all
about giving the fans a low-cost alternative (especially when there
is nothing official available for a while) and making sure that we
cover the overheads. A very generous and helpful company has
stepped in to help us put them together - they are Wellington's
(and NZ's) top footballing retailer.
