The buzz amongst local football supporters here in Queenstown and Otago is really starting to build we hope to see many of you Yellow Fever supporters in the grandstand on Saturday 27th June!  We have released the remaining grandstand seats (in our quaint 700 seat stand!) and hoping to see as many yellow jerseys as possible.

The team will have a public training here at the Centre on Friday afternoon before heading back into town when the team hit the main stage at the American Express Queenstown Winter Festival in Earnslaw Park  to kick-off opening night... the lucky punters who catch one of two signed balls will also win tickets to the match.

Back to the Events Centre on Saturday for some on field entertainment.  With so many Auzzies in town for the Winter Festival we hope Yellow Fever will make a strong appearance and outnumber Melbourne Victory supporters.

For those of you with families out there... a family zone will operate on the day with attractions, bars and vendors with pre-match and half time entertainment.  And if you are in Central Otago, don't forget to tune into More FM to have your chance to enter the More FM Phoenix Family for a day competition.

Gates open at 12.00pm with a curtain raise featuring local team Queenstown Rovers, and the match will kick-off at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available at online at TicketDirect or by phoning 0800 4ticket.  $5 for a child and $20-$25 for an adult (plus booking fees)

With the Queenstown Winter Festival on, there is loads of entertainment on and off the pitch, so we hope you'll join us.

Any chance of you guys putting on a 'package' for outatowners to fly down, watch the game etc?

Hi guys, we would love to help but unfortunately its outside of our mandate here at the Events Centre... we are a small and friendly team but busy preparing all of the ops for the team.  I can certainly look after you once you are here!  Jetstar have some cheap flights and Air NZ have some Winter Festival packages going... hope this helps.

it's a bit of a tough one to get to. Only Qantas in'it? And costs a fair bit. Will keep investigating though

I think the cheapest option is to fly Jetstar north to Auckland and then on the flight to QT... bit of a hike but worth it...

Good luck, and hope you can make it!

Cost me around $100 all up to fly Pacific Blue to Chch then to Q'town a couple hours later. Anyone wanting to leaving around July 6'ish might want to hit Grabaseat FAST, Air NZ has flights from Q'town to Welly at $26.

Cheers for the info Karen, I'll link to this thread in the message thread currently being used by those of us who've already been planning to make sure nobody misses it

Love to be there but I'm guessing most of us will be playing ourselves that day.

Nightz, nobody here wants to know about your sexual habits.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Possibly a bit late, but here's something from the Queenstown local about the Melbourne game, including interview with Terry:
