Only 10 players for a start.
Personally I don't want to see 3 at the back, but if so it would probably be

         Moss

   Siggy Dura Boxhall

Leo Manny Smith Lochy

     Ifill     Stein  Brockie/Fenton

Roar is possibly the worst team to play a back 3 against. They like exploiting the space behind the full backs, and that provides more space for them. Waffles was ineffective playing up front by himself, so I do think we need Brockie up there with him. So happy for us to continue with the 4-1-3-2 system

After thinking about it for a while, I think I'd tweak the lineup a bit in order to get the most out of our busiest players.

           Moss
Leo Siggy Dura Tony
    Muscat Smith
Brockie Stein  Fenton
              Ifill

Brockie and Fenton both have a high workrate on both attack and defense. Id play them wide to try and neutralise the Roar's wingbacks, and also counterattack to get in behind them and be quite direct.

Stein seems to have a good workrate so I'd get him to hustle Portaloo when he is in posession - dont let him have space.

Then Ifill up top simply because he isnt 100% fit and we need him to be up top for us to launch counterattacks with.

Stein, a good work rate? Not for the full 90. Last 2 weeks he always seems to tire in the last half hour, and the work rate drops dramatically. Him and Brockie up front is a good combination, lets not mess with that.

So basically, the above formation, except swap Brockie and Ifill, and put stein up front.

Ifill in, totori to the bench to come on as an impact sub. Or if Ifill still isn't quite match fit enough yet (possible, after seeing him on the weekend) then Totori would retain his place.

I tried this on football manager and it worked.

bertos boxall durante lochhead

fenton muscat smith totori

huysengems brockie

bench; basalaj sigmund ifill boyd

out; paston (injury), downey, lia, clarke

lia and ifill a bit underdone IMO. boxall keeps his place. sigmund gets a rest. boxall MOM against heart!

Boxall should play RB instead of Bertos to shore up the defense

Boxall's not a right back either. Leo has been played there the whole pre-season, has more pace than Boxall which is important, and presents an attacking threat from the fullback position. He's easily our best RB option right now.

After ifills performance last game I think I'd prefur tottori for him.  He was terrible

Yeah I'd say he wasn't quite ready to return yet,but it was forced on him (same with lia - though he was worse!)

Both need time on the park at top level to get back but will Lia get the chance in midfield as a defender at least 40 metres out. May be only back as injury cover late season

can't see Ricki wanting to keep Lia on the sidelines anymore than he has to...also worry a lot about leo at RB against Roar

Where did you hear that? No trains would make it a nightmare to get home after the game.

Was somewhere stated that they are replaced by buses on the weekend...
From Metlink - "Buses will be replacing trains this weekend while upgrade work is being continued on the rail network.  The Hutt Valley, Kapiti, and Johnsonville lines will be closed over Labour weekend. "

Oh great, hopefully they see sense and let the trains run in the afternoon. They have done that in the past for the 'nix games.

Re: trains: not just a Nix game on, also the hand-egg game on Saturday

Siggy looked good at the end of the game last night, not sure why he would get benched.
