[QUOTE=Junior82] and Siggie can't

There were hints from Ricki in the Herald article on the match that Musa may make an appearance on Saturday, given Siggy's absence for his 5th yellow  of the season.
Would be a huge step for him but good luck if he does.
And while you're at it Ricki.....

...Rojas to nutmeg "the wrong" Muscat in the 86th minute, before he's ruthlessly bought down by him in the box for the red card and penalty...
...and Kev faces the obligatory "Who Are Ya?/ Cheerio" walk of shame! You heard it here first

Will Daniel start again? He seems like he has cemented his position as an impact player

Big wraps for Manny who absolutely bossed the middle of the park. Proving to be a class player and much needed gel between the mass of wingers and our back 4.

That'll be El G, wouldn't it? ...unless this person's just come up from Christchurch of course...?

I love Manny but Skoko and Sibon bossed the middle of the park for most of the game. Wasn't at his best - not his fault, really, considering how many times he's had to change position this season. Lia was easily the best out of the 3. If he plays there again on Sat I think he'll do a lot better.valeo2010-11-25 20:17:55

No.  El G was sacked after the first home loss.

I tried next.

This week it was another rotund Feverite... and he stands next to Jambo he is well aware who.

Your whole team is ineffectual

Rather like when we beat Perth, I think we need to keep our feet on the ground.
The Phoenix had no shape, stuttured for most of the game, beat a poor side and could even have lost with better finishing from the oppo.

Whilst the passion and commitment was there, I thought we had little more direction than in previous games. With Ifill up front on his own, we did at least seem to try and play the ball on the deck more, but that was about it. The win was down to Ifill and Paston above anything else.

Some of the better teams we have played recently would have smashed us on that performance.
Yeah great win, but thats about all it was.

Greenie has to play upfront with Ifill and we continue to play it on the ground as much as poss.
We are again looking for a full back which unfortunatly means Muscat may have to vacate the midfield. That will probably mean Elliott rather than Ward.

To be honest, we certainly looked better without Elliott.

watched the game in a bar in Pukekohe - having failed (before i left welly) to see if Jag would let me darken his doors

Pukekohe bar insisted that there was no sound (quiz night for the locals)

but none of that matters because we won and Iffy is our King

Manny was class, broke up a lot in front of the back four, dropped back to receive the ball, distributed reasonably well given what he is in there to do. gotta be the first name on the team sheet in the middle of the park.

That would be Sheik Maheed - and his entourage of two cheeky fakirs, Sheik Mahaun and Sheik Mawullie

Wise man once said that the apex of Clint Boltons career was when the the great prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was amongst us.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Pivotal moment of the game came just before we scored. Siggy surged forward to the edge of the box and released North on the right. We did not score from that movement but, to me that was the first time we really pushed foward with pace and purpose. We did score within a minute of that but we did continue playing with that pace and sense of purpose.

Not wanting to put a dampner on things, but It is important to put it into perspectve though, Heart were very  very  poor but we still managed to give them three gilt edged oppotunities to score before we put one away. We gave away an awful lot of ball needlessly.

But by god, it is good to get a win back.
Totally agree, it was so unexpected that it seemed to sow a bit of confusion into the Heart defense.

great to win, but as sthn says we need to be real, they were sh*t.....the type of game was established early with their foul within the first minute....great to see Ifill back in scoring form...still a few defensive concerns but a huge improvement in the attitude of the boys....to a man they all looked and played like they wanted to be there.
Daniel my biggest worry last night, pretty ineffective going forward, falls over everytime someone goes near him and is often very static when he does not have the ball

Hardly had any game time! seems a bit harsh after all the chances the others have had...

Daniel has played almost 6 hours of football this year, he has been with the team for 4 years.... I would say if he is good enough he should be making some real impact.]

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Nick ward came on, looked around, put in a telling commeited tackle that set Tim Brown away and lead to the second goal. Well doen Nick.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
